Hello everyone, I'm coming too! I will be arriving solo in Berlin on the morning of the 18th, so would love to meet up with others before the tour starts. I'm staying at the Belmondo that night, is anyone else? Very excited but a little nervous too...this is my first time overseas! looking forward to talking to you all soon!

Guys, I'm trying to fit in a Berlin Underground tour on either the Friday or Saturday. It's Tour 3 and goes for about 90 minutes starting at 1pm. I throw out the invitation to anyone else interested. I'm happy to pick up tickets in the morning (€9 each).

I'm starting to lean towards Friday to give time for dinner etc on the Saturday unless everyone else is interested too...

D'oh, I don't arrive until Friday evening. The tour sounds good though.

My flight gets in Saturday morning at 9:30, so if you decide to do this tour on Saturday I would definitely be interested. It sounds great.

Hey guys. I just booked this trip also. I am 27 from the US (Minnesota). This will be my 3rd Contiki trip and I hope it is as much fun as my first two! I am travelling solo, which I did as for for my other two trips! Can't wait to meet you all. I will be joining the Facebook group!

Hi Guys

I received my Contiki documents last week so it's starting to feel real now!!!! I just need to apply for my visas (UK transit & Schengen), then I can really start getting excited.

FYI - I sent a mail to Contiki about the marathon and got the following reply..."It might have an impact but there is nothing we can do to avoid this – there are marathons in every city. The TM and driver will do their best and it may end up being an alternative route for the city tour."
So let's hope for the best.

Ps. Does anyone have any info about which bus to take from Berlin Tegel airport to the Belmondo Hotel (I believe there's one that stops right outside the hotel)?

Thanks for letting us know about what Contiki said about the marathon Sasha. It didn't even occur to me to actually ask them about how it would affect our tour

I don't know anything about the buses, sorry - if I get more info I'll post it on the forum.

The bus from Tegel is the X9 which goes direct to Berlin Zoo Station (Zoologischer Garten). The zoo is just up the street from the hotel, but you can catch a further bus from there (not sure about the number, I'm probably walking).
