Michelle,
I remembered finding this post a little while ago. Lots of people talk about the options. We're not sure which ones we'll do yet. I suppose it depends because this tour is the last of our 5 weeks, so I suppose it depends how much money we have left. There are quite a few that interest me though.

Hi Sophie, It's great to have another person. I;m really excited.

It seems that so far Brendan and I are the odd ones out. Everyone else is travelling solo.

Feel free to add me if you want, I'll keep in touch.

I'm travelling solo from Vancouver, reaching on the 19th. Trip ends on the 30th, but I think I'll stay till the 3rd of Oct. Anyone traveling before 19th or staying back after 30th?

Hey Michelle,
I'm arriving in Berlin on the 18th. Not until 11 something at night though, but we can meet in the morning if you want some company?

Hey Christine, Michelle and Kelsey,
I'm arriving in Berlin early in the morning on the 18th and will have nothing to do and no-one to do it with if anyone wants company! I'm just staying at the Belmondo on the night of the 18th, I'm hoping theres stuff to do nearby. Oh and Kelsey sorry I didn't reply on facebook, my computer is really bad like that, but I'm considering going to Oktoberfest if I can fit it in, its either that or I spend a couple of days in London.
Hi again to everyone else, look forward to meeting you all!
Sophie

I would love some company! I think I'm getting to Berlin about 5.30pm on the 18th. Christine and Sophie, shall we do dinner? And then maybe we can meet up with Kelsey on the morning of the 19th and go exploring?

I couldn't get into the Belmondo on the 18th which is why I'm staying at the Boulevard. Apparently we've picked a trip that coincides with the weekend of the Berlin marathon!

Haha I feel a bit silly organising all this when there's still 3 months to go but it's all very exciting Smiler

Gosh you guys are all organised. We haven't decided yet, whether we come get there on the 18 or 19th. We're staying with a friend in Amsterdam and then making our way to Berlin, so I'm guessing it will be the 19th. But thanks for the info about the Marathon, we better decide soon if we want to find somewhere to stay.

Hey Everyone - Sasha from Cape Town, South Africa here!

I'm also booked on this tour (though I don't have my documents yet so it doesn't seem real - plus I still need to get visas etc!). It will be my 3rd Contiki tour (I've done European Discovery & Egypt).
I'm looking forward to it but I think I'm most nervous about getting myself from the airport to the hotel on public transport!
I arrive midday on the 19th, would've like to have spent the day with those that are meeting up early, but I arrive a bit too late (maybe I'll just take myself to the zoo - ha ha).
Is anyone else taking the bus trip back to Berlin after the tour (hope I'm not the only one!)
Do you think the Berlin Marathon might have an effect on our sightseeing day (I'm just thinking of all the extra people and road closures)???

Wow I should have replied on this ages ago! Sorry everyone... but dinner on the 18th sounds great Michelle! I have you on facebook right? Just contact me closer to the day and we can work out where and when to meet. Also, Hi Sasha! If you have time I'm sure we'll just be sightseeing locally so feel free to catch up with us. And I'm catching the bus back to Berlin, I think quite a few of us will be! As for the Berlin marathon... well I had no idea that was even on... so here's hoping it doesn't affect us!
I don't know about everyone else but I'm super excited about the tour! Look forward to meeting you all!

Hi Sasha, nice to meet you Smiler

I'm also taking the bus back to Berlin - good to hear there will be some company, cos 8 hours is a loooong bus ride!

Hopefully the marathon won't have too much of an effect on our sightseeing day. May have to do a bit of research beforehand. I'll post on the forum if I find anything out.

Sophie - will contact you about dinner on Facebook closer to the date. Not too long to go now!
