Just as i promised guys.
Got back this morning, red eye flights from darwin suck. the trip was awesome met so many new people, what an experience. The whole trip was like a big giant pub crawl, with some coach driving and fun in between. Make sure u take some jeans so u can get em branded and do some quad biking (i forgot mine). Flies are a bit of a bugger around Uluru and Kings Canyon but once u leave alice heading north they are not so bad, just the mozzies. Make sure u drink heaps of water, you will need it, but dont worry about having to keep buying bottles. Our driver Scotty always had about 40 litres on the bus for us so we could top off our bottles when we needed it. I had an awesome time, thanks Dan and Scotty for a great 11 days!!! ps. I promised id put the photo up. Our tour manager dan had a problem keeping his clothes on at times. http://members.optushome.com.au/kaell116/DSCF0946.JPG Travelling on the Grand Southern Tour 01Sep Anaheim to NYC and Big Apple Explorer on the 25th Sep. |

Give us more info! I'm thinking of doing this trip in July of this year, and I'm starving for info/stories, etc!
How were the accommodations?? Did you guys have a full size Contiki bus? How many were on your tour? Where was everybody from? Were there actually any Aussies on the trip? How was the balance between sightseeing and partying? So many questions! Also, do you have any more pictures online than just that one??? |
