I am planning on going on the Best of OZ tour in January of 07'. I am a thrill seeker, but not really sure what all there is to do on the tour. If anybody has been there let me know. Has anybody done the Sydney Harbor bridge climb? If so what was it like? Physically demanding? How long did it take you? I have heard that the natives in the Outback don't like for tourists to climb Ayer's Rock. Have any of you done this? I saw in the brochure where it was an option to do so. If anybody is planning on taking the Best of OZ tour in O7' let me know.

hi there
i did the harbour bridge climb last year.from start to finish i think it took 3 and a half hours.first they go through a safety video and get you to sign the"i wont sue you if i injure myself"forms then you suit up and do like a practise run and go through all the procedures. It can be demanding so make sure you dont have a huge night the day before-but having said that i had an absolute ball!the views are amazing and simply breathtaking!I would highly recommend it for anyone considering doing it.not sure about ayers rock-it is a sacred sight-i think as long as you treat it with respect you will be fine!have a great time!

I just got back from the Territory & Outback tour and I can assure you that there is no problem with climbing Uluru (Ayers Rock). The Aborigines have sacred sites around the rock which they want us to keep away from and not take photos of but for the BIG ROCK itself it isn't sacred - however they do believe that it brings bad luck if people fall off the rock as 33 odd people have already done so - may they rest in peace Frowner Anyway, it's really a personal choice on whether to climb or not to climb - and whether you're physically fit as it's not as easy as it sounds/looks.

Cheers Em
