Hey squirrelpaws

I did the fiji trip with contiki and had a good time. Fiji is absolutely amazing but i wasn't really impressed with bounty island. I did a day tour of the other islands and i wish i had stayed on them insted. However i do still recommend you go even if you have to stay on bounty. I went in april and it was very hot there, hovering around 35-40C (100F i think) every day. It'll probably be even hotter in january though i can't say for sure since i wasn't there in jan. Hope this helps.

i have heard that bounty isnt the best place to stay, do you think i would be best cancelling this part and going it alone to one of the other islands?

Its hard to say if you should or not. If you have the money then I probably would change. Although Bounty was nice because it was all younger people there and the food was pretty good. Apparently some islands have horrible food, treasure island was one i think....
Just be careful as some of them are more for honeymooners and some for families. yeah the people on bounty organise the tour. i think it was 80 fijian dollars which was definetly worth it. If you have any more questions just ask.

thanks drew.
where woud you recommend to change to? so far it has cost me a small fortune on flights alone to get to fiji! so i wouldnt mind spending a bit more...after all i only plan to do it once in my lifetime and i want to go there to relax for a few days!
but then again you did say bounty was full of the young ones and good food.....hmm to change or not to change!!!
