Anyone going on this tour??

I'll be flying in from San Diego, CA.
I'll be traveling on my own and hopefully I get to meet some of you before the tour!

I am doing Reefs and Rainforests Sydney to Cairns 30th July to 14th August, and I think that this one and beaches and reefs are combined, well i think so anyway!
I am also travelling by myself and am coming over from England. My two best mates are currently living in Sydney so I am staying with them for a week before and after the trip

Are you going to do the bridge climb in Sydney?
It's a shame that it is not an optional tour for the trip... but I'm doing it anyways!
I'm going on a liveaboard scuba diving adventure after the tour. I'm flying down to Sydney on the 19th of August and spending a few days there before coming back to San Diego. If you're in Sydney around the same time we could hang out! or if I can find you on the tour that would be even better

I really am not sure about the Sydney bridge climb, i know it is one of the things you are "meant to do" but it really doesn't appeal as i am not too good with heights, and don't wanna pay that much for something i'm gonna find terrifying!

Yeah, after the tour i fly back to Sydney on the 16th to spend another 9 days staying with my friends, so that would be awesome if we could meet up, as obv my mates are gonna be working, and be much better to have someone to explore Sydney with!

When do you fly in to Sydney?

Btw i'm Becca, 23 and have never done any travelling like this before!!! What about you?

Have been in Sydney for almost 7 months now, and this trip will be my final adventure before heading back home to Europe.

would love to hear a bit more about you guys. It'll be nice to kinda "know" somebody already by the time the tour starts

Hey Becca!

I'm flying in to Sydney super super early on July 29th. After the tour, I'll fly back to Sydney on the 19th of August then fly back to the states on the 22nd. So I'll have about 3.5 days in Sydney total... not that many but I'll take what I can get!

That's funny - you and the bridge climb is sort of like me and scary movies. I just don't pay for entertainment that makes me scared.

I've traveled quite a bit for work and I've moved around a lot but this is the FIRST solo trip just for fun! VERY EXCITED!!

@jessie, I live and study in Austria. came to Oz to get some work experience and to travel. will go back to Austria after the tour to continue my studies in tourism and hospitality.

Maggie, my two best mates are currently living in Sydney, they have been over there since October and are having an amazing time, so i'm spending some time with them before and after the Contiki Tour. What kinda work have you been doing over there? Was it part of your studies? If so that is amazing!

Jessie, where abouts are you staying in Sydney then? Are you making any stop-overs on the way there/back? I'm stopping in Singapore for 3 days there and back, as have some family there who i'm gonna stay with. Less than a month till i leave now, sooo excited!!

SINGAPORE?! I worked there for 3 months and absolutely loved it! That's also where I got certified for scuba diving. You'll have a blast! Ladies night on Wednesdays!!! Wish I could do that too!! My only stop-overs were San Francisco and LA, nothing exciting. lol
On the 29th I am staying at the Original Backpackers in King Cross. I think its only a 5 min walk to the meeting point for the next morning.
Are you gonna be staying in the city centre or?

Did you? I am really looking forward to Singapore, although i am dreading the heat and humidity as i think it will be like nothing i have experienced before!

Did you mean will I be staying in the city in Singapore or Sydney? Because tbh in Singapore, I am not sure! My family are meeting me at the airport. And in Sydney my friends live in Potts Point which I think is pretty near the meeting plasce which is handy.

Are you staying in Cairns after the trip? I've got a couple of extra nights at the last hotel we stay at there, but obv my trip goes on for 2 days longer than your one.

I am super excited now, i work in a school, and we break up on the Friday and i leabe on the Monday, gonna creep up so quickly now!

i booked TODAY! I was not sure if i should do Australia by my own or organized...so i decided to fly in to Sydney on the 29th, go with u "Mates" to Cairns within 12 days and then i have a couple of days left to do my own stuff.

Im looking forward to meet you all!

P.S. Im male and from germany, travelling alone!

@Jessie, i haven`t booked any hostel so far...did u get a recommendation for the Original Backpackers in King Cross? Maybe i will join u there, so we can do the walk tomorrow the next day...
