Hi. Anyone else on this tour? It's Beaches & Reefs (I got the Whitsunday Sail option) it starts in Sydney and ends in Cairns Nov. 5 - 22, 2009. I'm heading out there from California, USA - would love to see who else will be going on this tour

OMG yay! I honestly want to do ALL of the optional activities! I'm saving every penny so that I can afford to do so. I'm looking forward to the hot air balloon ride, the tandem sky dive, sky rail and all of the surfing activities - I already know how to surf but don't think it'll hurt to take the lessons again..we'll see right? I'm thinking it may be a bit overwhelming to do all, so I'll play by ear but will try to save up enough for all just to make sure I have the option to do them if I wanted to. How about you? what are your plans?

This is my first tour and im travellin alone. so want to do the surfing as well and hot air balloon...oh so many!!

Yay another person in this tour group! The count is up to 4 that we've met so far! Yes, I am a single traveller and so is tchergirl, whom I've met through this forum too! Tchergirl met another traveller that replied to her post as well. I am from california, usa - this is going to be fun, I can't wait...how old are you? I'm 28..I got a feeling I might be one of the "older ones" on this tour...haha

I agree with you Katie, id love to live in California!! I booked beaches and reefs as it so much sun and water which i love plus it has great optional activities which i so looking forward to!! Hey Katie & Vanessa! I'm so happy our group is getting bigger and can't wait to party with you gals in Australia soon! California is amazing, but I don't really know any different, I would love to visit NZ and UK and see how life is out there too! I guess the grass is always greener on the other side, right? I chose beaches and reefs because I'm a beach girl, living in southern california, I love to surf and love the sun! So all of the activities just sounded so amazing with it being summer out there during my winter season. I've been to Cancun, Mexico and Hawaii, Canada and several states within USA, so this will be my big first international trip, I cannot wait! Katie, did you sign up for the sailing option too? Vanessa, I did get your email - I'm excited we're going to be doing all of these optional excursions!

Have you gals started any kind of shopping for the trip yet? I've been reading the articles and bought the memory cards for my camera, several swimsuits (of course) an overnight bag for the sailing excursion...but pretty much just saving and want to do one huge "shopping trip" right before - to get all the necessities (medicine for motion sickness, ac power adapter converters...all the fun stuff..ha ha) =)
