i'm travelling from the uk. staying in melbourne for a week when i first arrive then doing the sydeny - cairns tour. where are you travelling from?

I'll be coming from the US - so looks like we're both in for a quite a long flight! I'll actually be arriving about a week before the tour as well and planning on heading down through melbourne and maybe out to adelaide, so let me know if you might want some company

i know. the flight is something i'm not looking forward to!! i'm flying down to melbourne to meet a friend. we are then hiring a camper van beleive it or not! so not sure where we'll be but a meet up will be great. after i leave my friend on the 21st the rest of my trip i'm solo. are you on your own? x

Hey Rachel, a camper van sounds like the way to go! Yeah, I'll be solo for the entire trip, but I may meet up with some folks I know in Melbourne for a day or so. I don't have any set plans otherwise for my time in Melbourne - just trying to see all I can see!

Hi Dave, I'll be arriving in Sydney the 14th and will be there at least a day or two. I'm down with meeting up or roaming around the city or beyond. Do you know where you'll be staying while you're in Sydney yet?

Me too Jess, I'm cramming so much into my 5 week stay, i think i'm going to need a month off work to recover!! I'll be getting an australian sim card for my phone before i leave so if you give me your email i can ring/text you to meet up in melbourne

dave, I'm only in sydney the night before the tour starts. staying in the holiday inn potts point the night before. (21st oct)

it just occured to me that we may not all be talking about the same tour. i'm on the sydney to cairns tour (there is one the other way around)

I'm doing Sydney to Cairns... are you spending anytime in Cairns afterwards? and actually doing one in New Zealand beforehand so it's going to be quite an event
