I am going on the July 23 Vista tour (leaves London July 25) and I was wondering if anyone else is signed up for this tour? It might be nice to know a couple of people before the tour actually starts. I can't wait for the trip - I'm sure it's going to be an amazing time! Leave a message if you're signed up for the tour

Yup, I'm getting into London at about 8am the day before the tour leaves and I'm also staying at the Royal National that night. I really want to do as much London sightseeing as possible in the 1 day we have! I'm not travelling alone - there are 4 of us altogeher but I really hope to make friends with everyone on the tour. I've never been to Europe before - or on a contiki tour so I'm very excited. How about you? Are you travelling solo and have you been anywhere in Europe before? My biggest issue is going to be packing - trying to fit 2 days of clothes into 1 suitcase is going to be a challenge!

I'm planning on booking myelf for the Vista July 25th tour. Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm nearly 24/m from Australia. I was going to be travelling with a mate, but he's pulled out so I'll be travelling solo now. Kim are you also travelling solo? I'm really excited about this trip, cant wait!! Once I'm booked ill make another post, and I agree Nikki, it will be hard to pack everything into one suitcase!

I can't believe the trip is only 3 weeks away - Im so excited!! I still have so much to do before the trip... so i have a couple questions for you both of you - but some of these may be more applicable to Kim.
 
Are you bringing a hairdryer or do you think they will have that stuff at the hotels? And what kind of clothes are you packing? Like mostly casual jeans and T-shirt sort of things, or more dressier stuff for going out? And how much $$ are you bringing approxamately? I cant decide if it is better to bring alot of Euros with me or just keep taking money out from ATM's over there. Any opinions?

I know I leave in 19 days, can't wait.
I have never done a tour like this but I have managed to get plenty of tips.

Hairdryer, yes, definitely, will need it just in case. Some hotels may have one but I wont risk it... just get a travel one, they work ok..
Cloths, its going to be hot, so I?m packing plenty of shorts, t-shirts 3/4 pants and couple pair of jeans, pair of trackies and a hoodie (might have a day were you need to be comfy and sleep). Don?t forget ya togs (bikini/bathers). Might also need a light jacket something warm cause I?m guessing it will get cold at night in some places and especially when we go to Mt Pilatus
I think i'm just packng few few dressy tops cause they will always go with jeans or shorts and probably and will take one dress, for Monaco, I have heard that is dressy when you go to the Casino.

$$$ i've just got ATM cards and Credit cards, people have just said dont bother with travellers cheques, can always get access to ATM's. I've sort of budgeted $60-80 Euro a day for 21 days about $1,700 Euro's, i really have no idea how much will need .....but dont forget to take into account the option extra's on the tour as well,

So are including the price of the optionals in your daily budget or adding that on top? What are you thinking about the optionals anyways? Are you planning on doing most of them or not really? I think I probably want to do most of them but Ive heard conflicting things about how good some of them are...
