hey girls and boys!

Our name actually consists of 3 people - Emma, Shelley & Katie - i'm Katie. Nice to finally hear some people are going on the same trip as us! we've booked and paid already, got the early bird special to save money. We posted a msg ages ago, with no response...so yeah! i got excited when i noticed ur message Bec! We are all 20, from small country towns not too far from Melbourne. It's our first time overseas independently - Shelley went to Scotland when she was 2, and i went to Japan in 2001. we are so looking forward to going!
Abbie, i was thinking of doing the American Summer Camp as well, i know im nearly a bit late for applications, i put off applying last year coz of money, but after reading your message..its in the system again! anyway, i hope to hear back from both of u, keep in touch!

HI Katie,

That is so good to hear that you are interested in Camp America, i think you should SO apply. I have gone through ccusa, who are the best to do a camp through. Being from country Vic though, you would probably already know that as they have just been around to all the little town with info sessions etc. (Im about 2hrs from Melb).

Anyhoo, i was on their website yesterday and they still have about 1000 camps looking for Aussies to work for them, applications are still open.

Go FOR IT!!!

It would be great to keep in touch with you guys, let me know how you go with the America thing.

Abz*

Cheers

Hey Guys,

Well, Mick and i are officially booked!! We are definately joining you all on Sept 29th, so pumped!!

Katie, i am sorry i never got back to you, i havent been checking the message boards... my bad :-(
How did your interview go? Im sure you would have got a job as they just love Aussies and the fact that we are so keen to go and work in their camps.
My camp starts June 22nd, in Connecticut at a performing and creative arts camp, im really excited. Feel free to email me at effusekay@hotmail.com and we can keep updating each other on our plans. It would be awesome if we ended up on the same flights somewhere btw here and London!!!

Anyhow, cant wait to go to Europe, atleast we all now know of 6 people going. (oh and when we booked yesty the chick at contiki said that we got two of the last seats left on this tour).

Cheers

Hey Abbie and Mick and Bec and anyone else who may read this!

My interview went really really well, my interviewer said i was fantastic - all i did was sit there! She reckons i have a 99.9% chance of being placed, but didn't want to guarentee anything...but my chances are high. I'll be submitting my Programme Application tomorrow night hopefully if all goes to plan, and then it's just a waiting game i think!

Europe - i still can't believe i'm going, its gonna go so fast over there! And Emma and Shelley have decided by the way that at 4am October 4th we all have to have a drink, i dunno why then, but hey! spontaneity is what its all about! And if noone wants to go, then we are gonna drag you out anyway!

Alritey, keep in touch everyone, Abz i will email you when i get all my placement info and wouldnt it be great if we ended up on the same camp? i doubt it, but u never know! And thats great to hear about  you guys gettin the last few seats, i'm glad we booked early!

Hey Katie, Abz,and Mick

I can't wait to meet everyone and swap stories about your adventures. It's great to hear that the trip is basically sold out. Here I was thinking I was booking too early. Count me in for the drink, it won't be long now and we'll be having that drink somewhere in the french riveria.

Well I think it's fantastic that you guys are going to do the camp programme, it sounds so exciting. Katie I wish you all the luck in getting placed and I only hope it turns out to be as exciting as you hope. You're about to do what I've only dreamt about, but never had enough guts to give up the security of my fulltime job to do.

Keep in touch everyone

Bec

Hey Guys,

This is so very exciting, i cant beleive that i am actually FINALLY doing this (going overseas)!!

The 4am drink sounds like a plan, count mick and i in, after all, you cant travel all the way over to that part of the world and pass up a bevvy at any time!!

Time is going to fly and before we all know it, we'll be sitting on that bus tripin across Europe.

Just wondering when you guys are planning on heading over? Mick and i will arrive in London on Sept 22nd, wil spend a good week checking the city out before our tour starts.

We need to find other people who are going on this tour, if anyone is reading who is coming along, let us know who you are...

Until Next time...

Cheers

Hey Fellow Drinkers!

We are also planning on arriving the 22nd in london, we are spending the week visiting Shelleys rellies in London and Scotland. We are then spending the nite before the tour leaves at the hotel where it leaves from, so we cant run too late! coz u should all know by now that the bus wont wait...

Good to know youre all up for the drinks!! altho i got the date wrong, its on the morning of the 5th oct, which is Emmas 21st bday! I thought it was odd they were thinkin the 4th!! Im also turning 21 on the tour, but on the very last day - 19th. I cant wait!

Time has flown already, we booked back in November, and its already nearly April..I think im gonna blink and the tour will be over! But i love takin photos, so hopefully ill get plenty of memories!

Anyone else whos goin on the tour, youre all welcome to join us for early bird drinks! get the day started early..or, just carry on from the nite b4! But ya gotta let us know who u r!!

Cheers!!

Katie

Hey Everyone,

Well we already have something in common, my birthday is 14th Oct, and i'll be 25. (I'm feeling old already.) So plenty of birthday drinks and late nights. I can't wait. I land in London on the 26th and i'm wanting some company to go exploring, so if anyone is in the same position, please keep me in mind.

Cheers Bec

Hey Bec,

I am getting in a couple of days before Mick so am currently looking at cheapish acomodation for my time alone, do you know how expensive that place is!!!!!! We are planning on staying at the Royal National Hotel the night before the tour departs, not very cheap either!!

Anyhoo, we will be there for that week so you're more than welcome to meet up with us at some stage, would be sweet to get to knnow someone before the tour actually begins.

Katie,

How did you go with ccusa? Not sure if you know yet, but there is a pre departure meeting at Melb uni on sunday april 30th,  you get to find out all the other people going over there with you.

Anyways guys, keep in touch..

Cheers
