I've noticed a few people post in other threads about leaving on June 18 but most were old postings. I've signed on to travel for this one and it appears to be guaranteed so I know there has to be at least a few other people going
Anyway just being curious how many people might be going and where from.
Hey Jeff, I am booked in for the June 18 departure with my (will be) wife Jess. I've been on a Contiki Europe tour before so looking to see more sights and to party and have more fun. We are both from Brisbane, Australia. Where are you from?

I've done Contiki in New Zealand, Ireland and last summer Scandi-Russia but this will be my first mainland visit really. I'm quite looking forward to it but I travel alone so never know who I'm going to encounter. Contiki tours so far have all been great so I figure this one should be no exception.
I'm from Toronto, Canada myself and will be interested to know if I'm again a lone Canadian on tour haha I have always forgotten to take travel adapters so I must remember this time or I'll rely on another North American
Excellent - the more Canadians we have on tour Jeff, I say the better. The Canadians and Aussies were always the ones to party most on my last tour. I made good friends with a few Canadians last time. It will be good - it'll only be fun if your looking to have fun. Hey Renee - I am 28 and my fiance is 23... but your only as old as you feel. Even if you don't end up on this tour, I fully recommend Contiki... it's definitely one of the best things you can ever do.

I'm 30 myself but I am a professional drinker so I tend to stay out and spend too much on the habit I agree with ya Joshua, always good times with Aussies and Canadians on site haha
Renee, Joshua offers good advice even if you don't come hang with the "cool kids" you should still pick Contiki I seriously have yet to have a bad time on any part of my tours, it's all about the fun. I plan to do most if not all the extras so I can get in some whitewater rafting and parasailing/gliding whatever they throw at us. Let us know if you choose it and we'll have a drink or twelve on the trip!
I considered Inspiration myself but decided against it as I had already been to Berlin with Contiki and I really didn't want to spend 3 days either seeing the same things again or without my travelmates as they'd all be seeing the stuff I had already seen. Prague I think is the only city on that tour that isn't on the Vista tour but you end up missing out on Monte Carlo, Budapest, Vienna, Hopfgarten (I've been told by Contiki Tour managers this is one of the best spots on any tour). I figure I'll make a trip to Prague at another date as that's a city I can see myself wanting to spend more time in and easily can find people to go with me.
Tough choice but I know you'll make the right decision (peer pressure)
Hey Renee, Inspiration has Berlin and Prague which are two cities I would love to see but I chose Vista for a few reasons. Budapest and Ljubljana are also two cities I have never been to. The Vista has most places which I have been to but I want my fiance to see. Monte Carlo is definitely worth seeing. Visiting the Grand Casino and seeing all the wealth in the place is a sight! On my last tour I got to visit Vienna which is also on the Vista. I rate this as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, although that is just my opinion. Contiki also take you to the schnaps factory in Vienna which is well worth the 5 euro. They have amazing schnaps and I'm looking forward to buying some more! Hopftgarten is very beautiful as well and I am really looking forward to White Water Rafting again - the guides are heaps of fun. Jeff- the White Water Rafting is definitely a must!!!

Wow, so don't know what Contiki did but it killed the forums and my account at least! Anyway, back online and time to check the thread right?
I'm all about white water rafting Joshua, I'll be all over that one! I hope to also do the para-gliding thing wherever that one is. I'm slowly crossing off the dumb things I must do in my lifetime These will be two more of them then I'm going to have to find something else I guess.
Things I'm looking forward to include the hotel bellevue in Lucerne, the event pyramid in vienna as well. Crazy that hotels are part of the sightseeing on a tour Also can't wait to see Monte Carlo, Rome, Venice, Amsterdam as far as cities go. So much that I want to see so I've got my camera all set with plenty of storage space and if that's not enough the mp3 player doubles as a storage space haha
Yeah, not sure what happened to the forums. We leave Australia in 10 days for some travel before the tour so not sure how much longer i'll be writing on here anyway. I'll have to see about the para-gliding. I've sky-dived before but para-gliding could still be fun. You would be surprised how amusing trout fishing in Hopftgarten can be... well I mean when you catch one. I've told my fiance not to worry about the hotels - the fun is getting out and about, although I stayed in some nice hotels last time. Rome is amazing for it's history, I loved Venice last time and I'm definitely making a return visit to the Heineken Factory in Amsterdam, and probably a cafe
