Hey,
 I am also doing this tour and am from Melbourne.  We are going to have a ball.  Did 2 contikis last year in America and Canada and had a  ball.  Prepare yourself though and get plenty of rest cause once we start there is no rest for the wicked (or anyone else).  Can't wait
