My friend and I are booked on the same tour though in a few days she
may find she can't go due to work issues. It's a bit of a rock and a
hard place for us because I can't make alternate accomodation plans
until we know if she's coming. We're so looking forward to it, and I've
never been to Europe. It's always been on my list of things to do
before the big 3-0, so it's a bit of a race to get there this year!!

That's great you got the last seat! How many were there in total?

My friend has booked, so it will be interesting to see how things pan out for her in the next few days.

I'm in Melbourne and will be flying to Athens a few weeks beforehand to
see the Greek Islands. I plan on hitting London on the 13th so I can
check in to a B&B, relax and then maybe jump on one of  those
hop-on-hop-off bus tours the next day. It would be great to keep in
touch so we could meet beforehand!

I will be on the same tour yeah!!! I depart Canada on Sept 13th to arrive in London on the 14th.  I live in Pickering, Ontario, Canada which is a suburb 1/2 hour outside of Toronto.  I too am turning the big 3-0 in August so this is my big present to myself, I'm glad to get to the chance to meet you before we go, it's pretty scary going solo!!!  but very exciting at the same time.  Sorry I don't have a picture I'm working on it! lol  September can't come fast enought eh?  Had to through that in.  Wouldn't be very Canadian of me! lol   Looking forward to getting to know you and maybe we can help each other decide how much is too much to pack!

Emma - 3 months!?! You lucky thing. I managed to get 2 off, which I
completely wasn't expecting to get approved - but that wasn't going to
stop me!!!

I finally got my pic updated!  I would love to have 2 or 3 months off work but it wouldn't fly at my job - I've been with my company for 8 years now and am excited just to have my 3 weeks off!!! lol  I work for a Freight Broker - kinda boring - we ship freight back from the USA to Canada via trucks.  I'm the customer service supervisor.  What do you guys do?

I've been to Scotland and England once when I was 15 with school for 2 weeks but outside of that experience this will be my 1st time going to see Europe, I really can't wait it's going to be so amazing I'm sure!  I assume since were all woman that you guys are shopper's - cause I know I am.  Love to shop.  So this will be my biggest challenge when it comes to packing - Should I bring shoes and clothes that I know I'll need or do I bring very limited clothes and plan to purchase? - but then I wonder how expensive with the clothes be?  agghhh too much to think about - Thank God we have 4 months to figure it out!

It was great to see ur messages.  I too am on this tour... arriving in London 03 Sept to check out the sites then like Cynthia I'm off to Athens and Greek Islands for a few days then back to London on 14th ready for the big trip.  Only 3 months to go!! Im getting pretty nervous but soooo excited... OS trip either. So this will be both our firsts! I'm travelling solo

Hi Girls!
I'm on your tour too! I am going with my boyfriend Kevin so there is definately more than 1 guy with us! I'm frm Sydney and i'm actually a travel agent. I've travelled a lot but never to Europe so I'm very excited! We are also stopping in Dubai & Greece on the way and arriving in London on the 13th too!
Afterwards we are heading to Spain & America. I was lucky enough to get 2 months of work too! I'm counting down the days till we leave!

Hey Krista,  welcome aboard!  Great to hear that your joining us.  Gee Greece seems to be a bit of a favourite amoungst us. We are all going before the contiki so it'll be fun to share our stories on the bus. Good to know we have an experienced traveller amounst us too.  Im very jealous though - 2 months of holidays!!  96 days and counting! 

Cynthia, I am from Bundaberg Qld - I'm sure everyone knows our famous Bundy Rum!  Im a bit of a beer fan myself.  I only have 5 weeks off work but I'm definately going to take advantage of every minute of it!

It's great to meet you! You're right, the days are getting fewer and
fewer so quickly now - just under 14 weeks! Less if you consider the
pre Contiki Greece adventure!

I'll be arriving in Athens Sep 2nd (via Dubai) to travel the Greek
Islands for the next 10 days, then flying into London on the 13th.

It would great if our paths crossed for a drink in the islands somewhere!

(LoL) Sounds so cool saying blase things like that now!
