Hey All,

Everyone has gone quiet on this forum....don't tell me your all not excited about the trip of a lifetime anymore??

I fear that there may only be the 8 or so of us doing the tour, but I doubt it, so anyone new out there who will be joining us on the tour, let us know about you.

Just realised that I haven't left any info about myself on this forum: My name is Nicole and I will be doing the tour with my partner Damien.  We both live and work in western NSW in a little country town called Kandos.  We will be in the UK a week before the tour to visit some friends and some of Damo's relos  (so definitely want to catch up for a drink with you all the night before the tour).

Hope to hear from you all soon and counting down the Months, weeks and days (3 MONTHS, 2 WEEKS & 6 DAYS) till we will be all partying on together in Europe.

Cheers,
Nicc

Hi Nicc

I am booked to go on this exciting trip as well! I had been looking at this forum for a while but didn't wanna post anything as it had been some time since something had been put here, so I'm glad you've popped up again!

Anyways, really looking forward to the trip.

I live in Melbourne and will be arriving in London a few days before the tour starts.

Hope to chat to you again soon.

Cheers
Romy

hey Nicc, Damo and everyone else Smiler)

wow only 2 and a half months to go!!! woo-hoo how exciting!!

I feel pretty much prepared, but bet when there's only a couple of days to go i'll be running around realising how much i need to do!!

it's funny though, the last 5 months or so i haven't really felt that excited about this trip, must be because it doesn't seem quite so REAL yet. Wait till i get to Perth airport on the day we (michelle, justin, and i) fly out and i wont be able to keep still Red FaceP

i think it's good in way in what time i decided to go on this trip because since it's winter now i can kinda get used to the cold before going to london and wherever else it might be cold. just hope it wont reach minus anything but i doubt it cos' it'll be autumn over there. right???

well i better cruise...

take care everyone, hope to hear many more messages from you before we go. gotta meet up for drinkies!!

Hi Everyone
I'm really excited to find this messageboard! My friend Brooke and I are going to be on this tour, we are so excited!! Only 40 days to go!!
Brooke and I are both from Nelson Bay in NSW originally but for the last few years I've been living in Sydney and she's been in Newcastle.

Does everyone think it will be cold over there when we go? I know I'm going to end up packing the wrong things!

I'm susposed to be working right now so I better get back to it!

Hope to get to know everyone before we go. CAN"T WAIT!

Cath

Hey everyone,

Welcome aboard Rom & Catherine, can't wait to meet you guys in London!  What day do you guys get into London?

Not long to go now only 1 month & 4 days......YEAH!!!

I think London will be a wee chilly (like our autumns but I would hoping its warmer than what the weather in NSW has been like for the past couple of weeks, so fresh!!!) think the UK should be light jumper weather and possibly on top of mountains in Switzerland, jackets will be needed!

Italy and the South France weather should be nice though...hopefully warm enough to get the legs into some shorts again since they haven't seen the sun since April.

What is everyone planning on packing clothing wise or is anyone already super keen and packed???? I think we might need cold weather and warm weather stuff for the trip becuase the locations vary so much.  Any ideas anyone?

SEE YOU GUYS SOON!

Hey everyone - I'm Brooke...as in Cath and Brooke!

Cath and I have been on the countdown for about 200 days now and its finally approaching! We both can't wait and are going shopping this weekend to pick up some 'necessities'..or just spend a fortune on things we don't need.

Clothes will be a nightmare by the sounds of it - take something for all weather occasions...even swimmers? I know Cath and I want to go White Water Rafting, so swimmers will be a must! Not looking forward to getting the old body out during our winter....wow!

We leave on 2/9 and get into Heathrow at midday on 3/9 i think...so we have a day and a half in london before we leave.

Both ridiculously excited - can't wait to meet other ridiculously excited people!!!

Brooke

YAY!! So exciting!
I found this chicks blog on one of the other messageboards:
http://sarahssmiles.blogs.friendster.com/

Some really good advice on there, especially on what to pack. She went a little earlier in the year though so we might need some warmer stuff.

Bit scared about getting my arse into swimmers as my body hasn't seen the sun or a gym in ages!

Is anyone else planning to do lots of the optional excursions like me and Brooke? White Water Rafting and Paragliding sounds very cool, even though I'm a bit of a wuss so I may poo my pants.

Hey Catherine & Brooke,

Getting a bit giddy excited at the moment and a bit nervous as well.  Been looking forward to the holiday for sooooo long, I can't believe the wait is almost over.

Would love to do as many extras as possible and would love to do the white water rafting (heard the water is FREEZING pretty much all year round but that adds to the appeal & they give you wet suits anyway). Wouldn't mind doing the paragliding as well!!!  Hoping the swimmers will come in handy to go swimming in the Mediterranean when we are in Nice (fingers crossed its warm enough!)

Thanks for the Blog link.  The info on there will help heaps and so many details, its awesome.

So how old are you girls?

Talk to you soon,

Nicc
