I am in Toowoomba (just under 2 hrs from Brisbane).How about you guys?. I really hope that the tour goes ahead because you are the first people I have found going on this one. I am also doing the Great Britain and Southern Ireland tour leaving 1st of June.

We are from Melbourne. Yeah I haven't found anyone else on our tour yet as well. We are also heading to Ireland on the 31st of May, but we are not going on a contiki tour there. When are you getting to London? We are in London from the 7th of May. Are you doing both tours by yourself? Are you travelling anywhere else? Have you been overseas before? This is our first time! I can't wait! I am really looking forward to it!

I am getting to England on the 5th of May but am spending a couple of days visiting relatives. I will be going to the Hotel in London on May 8th. I am doing both tours by myself...and I'm a bit nervous about it.

I have travelled before but not since I was younger. I was born in England and lived there untill I was 8 so we did a fair bit of travelling in that time.

I am looking fowrad to it aswell...except I still need to sort out a suitcase...I think mine is too big and heavy.

We are getting into London on the 7th of May and looking around a bit before we go on our Contiki tour. It will be great to catch up the night before the tour. We are staying at the Royal as well!

So then you are a local around England! lol

Yeah I am a bit worried because I am not sure what to pack and not sure how much clothes I need either! 

I am also not sure about how much money to take. I am trying to budget on $100 Euro's a day.

Are you going to do all the Optional excursion's on the tour?

Yes the clothes thing is a problem....I don't want to take too much but then don't want to take not enough either.

I will be doing most of the optional excursions. You?

I havn't decided how much money either. I was hoping prob for $100 per day so i am not sure how many euro that is?

At the moment I just really want confirmation that both of my tours will be going...otherwise I am going to have to try and change flights etc

I suppose if we run out of clothes we are just going to have to buy more over there! lol

Yeah I want to do most of the optional excursions!
 
Are you taking a VISA card or cash card or traveller cheque's?

How do we find out of the tour is going ahead? I had a look on the website and it looks like most of the tours around our date are booked out, so I suppose that is a good sign.

Well buying more clothes is always an option

I am taking a VISA card but travellers checks aswell...I'm just not sure what amount though.

I think that if they cancel the tour they notify the travel agent you booked through...but it has to be cancelled at least 45 days before it's due to leave.

I am actually staying at the Imperial rather than the Royal because the Royal dosn't have any single rooms. The night before we leave I will be over there though trying to meet people before we go...so i will see you there.

I have just found out that our tour has been cancelled!

So Contiki gave us the option of going on the 7th of the 14th tour. We have change our arrangement and are going to try and book in the 7th.

What are you going to do now? Is your other tour still going ahead?

Well I only just found out yesterday that they had cancelled it so by the time I tried to book the 7th it was full.

So at the moment I am booked into the 14th...but its a bit late really so I may swap my tours around and end up gong on either 26th or 28th of May instead.
