My name is Brooke and I'm new here, have just booked my Contiki tour today. Just wondering if anyone else has booked the European Vista tour which departs on the 14th of February 2009? I'm doing this one solo and a little bit nervous about going by myself.

i get there very early morning on the 12th so i have 2 full days to check out London before the tour starts.

Awesome - do you know where you're staying in London yet? Are you planning on travelling after the tour as well?

Have you been on a Contiki solo before?

This will be my first contiki, and I *did* plan to go solo however now two of my best mates are coming along as well.

Most of the people that i have talked to have recommended going alone, as you tend to make more friends this way and break out of your usual cycle.. I remember my travel agent saying that usually more than half of the group are made up of solo travellers anyway

I just rang contiki and they said out tour is over 80% full so thats a good sign that our tour wont be cancelled due to not enough people....
