Hi Manda, welcome to our contiki group!
I'm 23 (turning 24 on tour when we're in Rome) and I'm travelling solo too!!! I can't wait for this trip and i think going it alone will be a thrilling little adventure! I'll be in London for 2 days before the tour and then after the tour im heading off to Toronto for 3 weeks (have family there) and then doing a Best of USA Tour from LA. come join us at our facebook group. Hi Everyone,
My name is Heather and my sister is Gillian. We are 22 and 20 from Ontario Canada. I can't wait till the trip sooo soon Does anyone know does contiki get us at the airport or do we have to make our way to the Contiki basement. We leave Toronto Canada on July 16th and arrive on the 17th at 8:55am in London. Is anyone else Canadian?? Also, how much money is everyone bringing?? Our booking agent told us about $50 dollars so $100 euros a day we should budget for. Does anyone have advice for adaptors for example hair straighteners. I heard some are not good to use in Europe. And last question for girls are you brining alot of skirts and dresses or doing the tourist thing and bringing shorts. Thanks so much I am so excited Heather  ~Heather~ |

Hey Heather,
I see you are on our facebook group now (yah!) but thought id answer your questions. Ive got european adapters and thats all i need, im not sure if u need a converter for canadian straightners has something to do with the voltage. Im bringing heaps of skirts and dresses, got 3 pairs of shorts packed too. the louvre tour a lot of us pre-booked online seperately for. contiki doesn't offer one, otherwise you can line up and do it yourself or line up then do a tour once inside. we skip the lines with this tour I think 100 euro a day would be ok. but $50 in canada is $100 euros? No way the AUD conversion rate sucks!! $100 AUD we get $50 euro!! And you make your own way to contiki basement/to your hotel. |
