I'm planning to do the Vista tour on 4th Aug 2006 and was wondering if anyone will be doing this same tour ? I'm 28f from Sydney, travelling solo. Would love to hear from potential tour mates !

I am thinking about doing this tour.  Not quite sure yet though.  I am also thinking about the Euro Encounter tour.  It is a little shorter, which might work better because of work and expenses.  I like that the vista is longer though!  I am 28 and will be turning 29 in May.  Wanted to here from anyone going/thinking about going.

I'm definately doing this tour, booked and all, for Aug04,2006. I was tossing between this or the Impressions one. But it looks like this Vista tour offers more free time. I'm 28f, travelling solo, first time in euro aswell. So excited about it!!

It'll be myself and four mates, from sunny Sydney, and we can't wait to rock Europe. We range from 21 to 25, and also thinkin of doin a week in Mykonos follwoing the tour....Should be awesome!

Hi Everyone,
Okay, I think I am going to go ahead and book this tour.  I just wanted to check on dates.  I noticed I can book for a tour that is leaves the states on the 2nd or on the 4th.  I think with the one on the 2nd the tour actually departs London on the 4th and with the one on the 4th the tour actually deplarts London on the 6th.  This is so confusing and I want to be sure I am booking the right one.

I booked the Vista tour today for Aug. 04/06 and arranged to arrive in London a day earlier (on Aug. 2nd) so I have two days in London instead of just one.  Is anyone arriving in London at the same time that I am?

I am 27yrs-f. (28 at the end of April) from Toronto and will be travelling solo. This will be my first trip to Europe and I am so excited!!!

I am looking forward to meeting the other Vista travellers.

Hi All,

I just got the word from the travel agent that I am booked at the Imperial Hotel in London one day before the scheduled arrival date (August 2nd instead of August 3rd).  The additional cost is not that bad.  The airfare is the same and the charge for the hotel is $150 (Canadian) for single accomodation and is half the price if you do a twin share.

She also recommended a tour that is offered through London that is 10 hours long (includes all the hot sopts, transportation, a cruise and lunch) for about $160Cdn.  There is also a Evening Pub Tour (approx. $60Cdn inlcuding one free drink)!!!  Sign me up for that one!

The cost of the extra day is not too bad and gives you time to see London and deal with the jet lag.

Thats great news, I'm also travelling solo! Seems to be a few of us in the same boat. This is my first time to Europe awell, in fact, my first big overseas trip ever !

I'll be arriving in London on the 30/July. Although I haven't made arrangements on where I will be staying prior to the tour, or what I'll be doing - probably do days trips around Britain. I'm all for meeting up before hand if you like =)

Also, for anyone else continuing their travels after the tour, I will be travelling around Europe up until the end of Sept.

My names Heath,im 29 from Sydney.Have just booked the vista tour for the 4th and will be travelling with my brother and 2 friends.We're flying over 12 days earlier and going to spend some time in Spain,Czech republic then come down through Scottland and into London a couple days early(well thats the basic plan anyway).Three of us are then going to stay for a week after.What airlines is everyone flying with?We're going with air brunei.



Cant wait for July to come and hope to get to know some of u before the tour

Hi Heath,

I did not book my airfare through Contiki.  The airfare, if booked with the the tour, would have been $500 more than booking the airfare separately and would have been an indirect flight on British Airways.  

I checked out airfares online at www.expedia.ca (Expedia Canada, is there a Expedia Australia?) and then went to the travel agent to book it.  I ended up booking a direct flight to London from Toronto on Air Transat that was $500 cheaper.

I'm also from Sydney! I'll arrive at London on 30th/July. So I plan to do the London thing then. But after the tour I'm staying around Europe until end of Sept. Okay, can't wait to book this tour!  I am still confused about what the dates are.  I am not confused on a normal basis, but I guess I just want to make sure I have this right.  Does the tour you all have booked leave London for Paris on the 4th of Aug. or the 6th? 
I think I might try to be in London a day earlier as well.  I have been to London once before, it is a great city and very easy to get around.
