Hi Kate,

Theres a bunch of leaving on March 27th for the vista (theres a different message board for this started).  I'm not sure if this is the same tour or not.. I had thought it was a typo in the contiki brochure.  When are you arriving in London?  My boyfriend and I are getting there on the morning of Saturday the 26th of March around 8am... staying @ The Royal National.  This must be the same tour.. I couldn't see them have 2 separte tours, 1 day apart!!

Just found out that this is a different tour!  I understand that March 28th is the first of the summer departures, we're doing a winter departure.  It's crazy how in that 1 day the tour goes up $$ that much!  I'm sure our tours will be meeting up along the way though.

Hi guys.  I'm Patrick and I'll be joining you on this tour.  I'm M 21 from Seattle.  This is my first time travelling solo and first time to Europe.  I am very excited about this trip as I graduate from college 9 days before my flight to London.

Yeah, I guess they added this tour after the one on the 27th filled up.  I hear that this one is also close to being full if it isn't already so if anyone out there is thinking about it, you should move quick!  Smiler

Hello, I was confused for a few weeks as well thinking I was going on the 27th but the 28th it is. Iv been over here in the UK by myself for 8 months now doing the whole working holiday thing. Just made my final payment on the trip and have booked in at the Royal National the night before. So excited! Where abouts are u from? Kinda nervous about not knowing anyone but that will pass!

Hi all

Wow! 8 months already Kate, thats cool. What type of work have you been doing? Do you live in London?

Im from melbourne and im 25, getting a bit scared since i fly out soon.  So im guessing that its cold over there, i have started packing already because im really bad at it, it makes it even harder when its the middle of summer here and i have to leave most of my shoes behind!!

So where is everyone else from?  How long are people staying for after the trip?

Hi, my name is James and i will on the same (vista 28th March) tour with my friend Kurtis.

Am also currently living and working in the UK (London).  Kurtis lives in Australia so it will kind of be like a combined reunion/tour for me.

Bronnie i can't give any advice on the shoe front except to say that you won't have any worries shopping for more shoes over here.

I was originally going on the Feb 13th tour but had to change due to work so i am now really looking forward to the trip.

Hi all, thought i would throw a general invitation out to the people travelling on the Vista 28 March (and any others).  On Sunday the 26 March i am taking my mate Kurtis to a place called the church.  Some of you may have heard of the church but for those who havent it is only religous in the alcoholic sense.  Love or hate it one thing for sure is that its an experience not to be missed!

Here is the link so you can check it out yourself, and if anyone is keen put a message on the board and we can organise: http://www.thechurch.co.uk

Thanks for the invite but im not coming down from manchester (where im based) until the 27th, have a great time though! Bron, with the shoe issue your having as your now in England you would have realised that although we are from Melbourne and thats the shopping capital, London is unbeatable. I would have a lot more saved up for this trip if I didnt shop here all the time. Getting very excited now as iv got all my documents sent to me and am now hitting the hardest part, what to pack. Are most taking suitcases or backpacks? anyways, hear from u soon.

Well Bron if you havent bought any new shoes by the time the trip comes round i think we will be a little disappointed.   Are you settling into the London life Bron?

Hi Kate, shame you can't make it but i guess one thing that won't be short supply on contiki is partying and alcohol!

The only reason it is so hard to save in this country is because its so dam easy to spend twice as much as you save.

I don't think it will really matter which type of bag you take.  The most carrying to be done will be to and from our rooms to the bus.  A day pack is the other bag thats really handy.  I beleive contiki prefer suitcases to backpacks - not sure if it mentions any of this in the final documents contiki have sent out as mine with Kurtis in oz.  I'm taking a backpack purely because i don't have a suitcase.

Back to counting down the days...

not sure if i will make it to church, not sure where im going to stay when i get back to london which will be the 25th march.  if im close will go.

hey kate, im taking suitcase, beauty case and backpack, sounds alot but my suitcase isnt that big.  missing melbourne lots though, it has better shopping than worcester!!
