Im in the same boat, travelling by myself 1st time and thinking about doing this tour, but was thinking maybe a tour beginning the week of the 9th oct would suit me better.
Do you think it will be getting cold in October? and the days relatively shorter than in june/july?
Have you been to europe before, and did you do much research in choosing the encounter tour? there seems to be good raps on it whenever I read about it.
Have you already booked? I wonder how early you would have to book for an october tour.

Thats a lot of questions I have asked you without really answering yours! woops.
