hi im a 28yo old australian doing the same tour.a few others have posted on here that are doing it as well.im flying into london on the 15th march and staying at the grand nat for 4 nights before the tour.im meeting up with my best mate who will have been there for 3 days before i get there.are you getting there a few days before the tour?.

Unfortunately I am just flying in to London on the 18th.. I could only get so much time off work. I'm sure I will go to the meeting on the 18th at the Contiki Basement though.. hopefully a bunch of people can set something up to go out after and get to know each other before the tour offically starts!

hey!! FINALLY someone who's going on the same trip as me! yay! i'm leaving from los angeles on the 17th, arriving on the 18th so i'm down to meet up at the "basement" as well. (what IS it exactly?? i know VERY little about the tour-basically found the website & signed right up). i was devastated (i am a professional bargain hunter to find the DAY after i paid in full- there was another discount site offering contiki's EXACT same tour for 10% off w/ additional discounts as well! oh well, definitely next time!
 
anyhoo, back to reality, i am so looking forward & can't wait to connect w/ other people from the group. is anyone else flying solo?? also, i'll be staying for ONE day extra in london at the end of the tour. wish i would have planned it out better & stayed longer...

Glad that you posted a message... slowly getting to know some people on the tour!! I am doing the tour alone.. and I know that Tenille is too! She's actually in London right now travelling around for a bit before the tour! I dont know too much about the basement either. I think its just a place to drop in.. probably get some info on the tour and sites to see in London. I think you can get access to internet there and store luggage before you can check in! Mostly just a great way to meet up with others doing Contiki tours! How old are you and where are u from??

well, i am excited but getting a little worried as the time is nearing & i have so much still to prepare! i am 32, from (ny originally) but live in los angeles. i also Just argued w/ the airline successfully & re-booked my flight to arrive 2 days earlier (on the 16th, thursday) so if anyone is also arriving early pls let me know!!!
btw, how old are you sabrina, i know that the ave. age is abt 22-24? i know contiki is age restricted, but that really isn't the focus of my journey at all- if what they say is true, i suspect that we'll all blend just like a family...

I am 22 years old.. It seems like there is quite a good variety of ages on our tour which is good! I havent really decided on the travelex card... I might just use my credit/debit cards. Not sure! I cant believe how fast time is flying! March 1 in just a few hours!
