Hi, just wondering if anyone was heading on the European Encounter tour leaving London on July 11th this year?

I'm pretty much a total newbie to travelling and I'm doing this solo so I'm keeping an eye out for friendly new faces!

How exciting, I finally got a reply! For a while there I thought I was possibly the only one going on this tour but I guess there's still another five months to go right, haha

Are you heading over from Australia too? I really can't wait to meet new people and experience totally new, exciting things... 19 weeks to go and counting, yay!

Yeah i'm from sydney! im soooo freaking excited! haha my life is consumed by Europe at the moment. all im doing is saving for it, buying for it, thinking about it, researching it hahaha THE COUNTDOWN IS ON!

Hey everyone! Can't believe it's been a whole 4 months since my last post! And I can't believe it's less than 6 weeks til the adventure begins!! (Meanwhile, I am so not prepared at all, this has just crept up on me so quickly, it was scary, lol)

I still haven't gotten stuff like travel insurance and cash/traveller's cheques sorted out yet, I will need to figure it all out and get on top of that soon though, I'm thinking...

Meanwhile, it's great to see a few more people will be joining this particular Contiki experience, hope to be seeing and chatting to you all in London soon!

Europe, here I come...!!

My husband and I will be in London for three days before the tour starts and would love to meet up. We plan on doing the hop on/hop off bus tour thing, to stop and see various attractions, and I'd like to hit up a flea market or two....plus the pubs!
I'm not sure what hotel we're at though, I don't think it's the "contiki" host hotel until the day before the tour. I'll find out. ;P

Hey Everyone! I just booked my trip about 5 minutes ago and I siked to get over there. I too am going over a day early and will have a couple of days on the back end of the trip also. I will definetly try to get in touch with all of you! This is going to be my first trip to Europe and I can't wait to get started!

Where ya from? We should totally meet up! Maybe go for fish and chips at a pub, lol. We're coming from Canada and will arrive on July 8, and leave London on the 28. We are pretty excited too, neither of us have ever been overseas. Believe it or not, I started packing tonight!

Meeting up would be great! I am from Stamford CT, which is basically 30 minutes outside of New York. My flight leave NY on the 10th at 10pm and will be getting in on the 11th at 10am. So I will be around all day and my friend who lives in London will be at work. Still figuring out some of the details, but I will def be in touch. Were are you guys from in Canada? I have done some traveling up there.

Also I have a friend who actually got the Hokey Pokey statement as a tatoo! It might just be what it is all about!

I am on this tour with the rest of you! This is my first major trip O/S and am very very excited!!!!I am from Brisbane, Australia. Traveling solo, so would be great to catch up the night before the tour starts for a couple of drinks. I am Staying @ the Imperial Hotel (Russel Sq). Is anyone else staying here or @ the Royal National (apparently they are not far apart)?
