I am going to be in London bymyself a few days before my Contiki tour starts at the end of May/beginning of June. There are lots of sites I plan to check out in those few days (Madame Tusssauds, London Eye, Parliament, Buckingham Palace, etc) and was looking into one of the hop on/hop off double decker bus tours. Has anyone been on one of these in London? I am just looking for advice on if they are actually worth it, or is it just easier/cheaper to hop on the tube to get to where I want to go! Some of the tours also include a free boat cruise on the Thames...worth it?

Hi i live in England and go to london quite alot, the busses are a good way to get around although I find the tubes alot quicker sometimes. The main stops you nees are Westminster wich is the stop for london eye, big ben, Parliment and its a really short walk from there to trafalguar square. if you buy a zone 1 tube all day card you can also use the busses around london but not the organised ones. Hope this helps ahve a brill time

I'm looking to do the same thing and thought about getting a 3 day London Pass with tube travel included. I was wondering if people think it is worth the money for only 3 days, as the 6-day ones seem to be good value, but I will only be in London three days before leaving for my tour.
