This is my first time travelling overseas by myself and im not sure about what im suppose to do once i get to london.
I arrive in london at 6:35am on th 26th August 2008, and i am staying at the royal national hotel.
Do i need to catch a taxi to the hotel???
If so does anyone know how much this would roughly be ???

Take the tube, it is ridiculously easy and MUCH cheaper. A single journey costs £4 but I suggest you buy a day pass for zone 1-7 which is about £6.70 if I remember correctly (I was there in November). Then you can get on and off the tube as many times as you like for that day. (Thank you nice guy at the ticket office who told us this!Smiler) It takes about 50minutes.

Anyway: Are you flying into Heathrow? If you are then all you need to do is follow the signs, that are everywhere, to the tube station (advance warning: it's quite a far walk so have a suitcase with wheels). Once you get to the ticket offices you can pick up a map. Then you have to get on the Piccadilly line (there is only the one train at Heathrow) and stay on it until you reach Russel square which is right around the corner from the hotel.
