I will be traveling from Canada to Australia in October 2007.I will be traveling solo and am looking to connect with others who are taking the AUSSIE EXPLORER Darwin to Sydney Oct 10 to Nov 2 & GRAND EXPLORER in NZ Nov 16 to the 30th. im from perth, W.A.! so im sort of a local.. i say “sort of” because wa is almost another country on its own! i was thinking about backpacking across the east coast until i came across this tour and it does everything i was thinking of doing so i thought it’d be better to go on the tour and have less to worry about and meet people along the way anyways.. yep im stayin in the hotel before the tour starts as well so i guess we can meet up then..

really looking forward to the trip, there’s gonna be so much to see and do!!

btw, has anyone got recommendations about where to stay in sydney? there’s the obvious choice, which is Travelodge since that’s where the tour stops, but i was looking around and there’s so many others which makes it really hard to decide!

The Travelodge was already full when I wanted to book it in march. I stay in Sydney for another week at the Hyde Park Hostel.

I will be staying in Coogee Beach.
I guess that Coogee and Bondi Beach are good spots and are close to it all. I know of some people that have stayed in Bondi and they have nothing but great things to say about the hostels etc...

Hi everyone! I am travelling from Canada to Sydney Oct1 for the Aussie Explorer Reverse tour. I'm going to visit some family first and then on the 9th I'm flying to Darwin to start the tour. I'm getting really excited... hard to think there's only 23 days left to go!
