Hey Everyone:

I just booked myself onto the Aussie Explorer trip leaving Darwin on January 3, 2006. I'm a 26 year old Canadian, and this is my second Contiki tour. Anyone else going on this trip?

I'm planning on going to Australia the same time as you , Seems like the best time to go because its after the busy Christmas travel season and in Jan Australias days are the longest ( sun hours i mean ).

i just can't descide between Reefs & Rainforests and Aussie Explorer tour ,

also how much $$ was your airplane ticket ? ,

and how much spending money do you think is need for the 25 day tour ? , i'm trying to figure out the total cost my trip tour + flight+ spending money needed.

Hey Peter,

I'm flying on Aeroplan Points with Air Canada, so I couldn't tell you what the dollar value is on the flight. I'm bugeting between around $1500 for spending money on the tour. Since my tour starts in Darwin, I also have another $250 or so to get to Darwin from Sydney.

I am going on this tour as well!! My name is Lindsay. I am 23 and from Colorado. I will actually be in Sydney for Contiki New Years Tour and then flying up to Darwin. When are you guys going to be in AUS? I cannot wait to go. Only 4 months away!

Hey Everyone! I am also going on the Aussie Explorer in January. This is my first contiki tour and can't wait!! I may also be in Sydney for the new year's tour as well. Looks like so much fun. oh hey, i got myself a working holiday visa, is anyone else planning to stay there after the tour?

well, i've been able to get in touch with two of you, and it's great that we can at least meet each other online before in person. i'm leaving toronto nov.3, and i don't know if i'll have access to a computer along the way. as for my trip details in aussie, i'm scheduled to arrive at darwin airport jan.3, at 12:30am. who knows how long it'll be till i can find a cab, but if all goes well, i'll probably get to the hotel by 1:30, or even 2am. which really sucks, 'cause our tour starts at 7:30am. i'll have to overdose on caffiene i suppose. if anyone is still up at that time, let me know where you are by leaving a message at the front desk. i'll be able to get it when i arrive, and hopefully get to meet some of you before the tour starts.

to everyone, have a safe flight over to the land down under, and i know the first thing i'll be doing when i get there. i'm checking which way the toilet flushes! see you soon!

I am Edmund, 29, a deaf guy, from London, UK.

I am going on Aussie Explorer tour, starting from Darwin and finishing at Sydney from 3rd January 2007.

I am looking for people who are also on the same tour as me. This is a good place to start to get to know people!

I am excited as well as anxious, as it is my first time to be travelling around solo for 2 months. I am leaving the country, UK on Wednesday 29th Nov to Sydney, then Melbourne, then Auckland-Christchurch on 11th Dec for 3 weeks and back in Sydney in time for NYE celebration and then joining you all on the Contiki tour!
