I am thinking about doing the Aussie Explorer in the end of January 2010. I know I am very early but was wondering if anyone else is also thinking about booking this tour?

Are there more people from Europe on this tour? Or is the majority from the US and Australia? I am from the Netherlands.

Me and a girlfirned are actually going to do this tour.....we've actually booked our flights to australia already......

We're both from Toronto, Canada...

Hoping there is a lot more that will be joining...we heard this is one of the busiest times to go.....so we're both really excited!

I'm also thinking of doing the Aussie Explorer in January 2010. I haven't decided yet if it will be Sydney - Darwin or Darwin - Sydney. Someone told me that for the weather conditions you'd better do the Darwin - Sydney trip.

I'm almost 24 and from Belgium. Last year I've done the Grand Southern Tour in America which was awesome!! Most of the people were from Australia and the others were from Belgium 2, 2 from Germany, 4 from the UK, 1 from South Africa, 1 from China and 1 from South Korea. I'll be going this tour in Jan 2010. I'm doing Darwin to Sydney. I'm really excited, I've never been on a tour like this.

I'm doing the tour from Darwin to Syndey as well. I've heard that doing it in reverse is more fun and you it gives you a better chance to meet people better, earlier in the trip (who knows if this is true though). I'm also doing it with the Whitsundays sailing option.

Is anyone planning on traveling before or after the tour?

I did London to Athens last August and had the TIME OF MY LIFE. I can't wait to be on the contiki bus again =)

P.S. Is anyone else traveling alone???? I'm a little nervous

Looks like I"ll be doing the Darwin to Sydney tour in January, can't wait. I'm 27 yrs. old from California and I'll be in Sydney about a week and a half before the tour date then going to Darwin early a few days before the tour starts. After the whole tour is done, I'll be around until March 8 so hoping to do a bunch of traveling after the tour but not sure where exactly. I've done Contiki before and I wouldn't worry about travelling alone; I did it before and am doing it again and many travel alone. However, you get to know pretty much everyone within a few days and the good times follow.

Hey im Really interested in doing the tour at the end of Jan..
I am 19 never traveled since i got out of highschool but im really wanting to travel. Im going bymyself so im a little nervous but it should be an amazing time. lm from victoria BC canada. im hoping to do the tour going from sydney to Darwin. Does anyone now why the reverse trip is cheeper???
