I,ve just booked the above trip, I know its really really early but am so excited (and nervous) just had to do it! Is anybody else out there thinkin o this trip or already been? What's it like?

My friend will be joining us in the whitsundays too as shes doing the coast & whitsundays in reverse! (So theres 3 of us - wahey!)

I really want to book this trip, i don't know whats holding me back, maybe the thought of being out of my comfort zone for so long. If i do book up, i'm planning on arriving in darwin 1 or 2 nights before its due to leave. So hopefully see you in feb.

Yes I am - in the one that contiki uses!? I arrive in darwin on 24th Feb at 11.55am.. when do you land?

or actually.. I wonder if we'll be on the same flights? Im flying from sri lanka so we wont be to start with (and anyway we're obvi diff parts of the country!).. but anyway am flying from there to Singapore then from Singapore -> Brisbane -> Darwin ?!?

No I haven't! - I'm on a gap year before uni! Seen below that you wrote you haven't done anything like this before either - and like you I just thought i just had to do it!

Also hey Coral! good to hear from another person who might be doing it! But like Lisa said you so should!! I think it will be amazing!! About trying to find the flights - are you doing it yourself or doing it through a company? Me and my friend (Jo) used STA Travel and they were really helpful...

For me it is the first one and I try to imagine what it would be like.

Haha Iris, this does seems to be a ladies club.

My friend and I are both Contiki tour virgins, so I have no idea what to expect, although I have heard some amazing thing about Contiki.

We will be arriving in Darwin on February 21 (we start flying on Feb 19 and we will actually lose Feb 20). We havent decided where we will be staying, but probably in a hostal.

Where are you all from? My friend and I are from a city about an hour south of Toronto, Canada.

I am from Germany.
I live on a very, very small island situated in the North Sea about 2 hours from the German mainland.
But I was born and grew up in Berlin, the German capital, so I am used to urban life as well.
I will arrive in Darwin February 21st with a flight from Brisbane.

It seems that we will probably get a good mix of people.
