Hi, I'm Katie

I'm seriously considering going on the Aussie Explorer (Reverse) which leaves on December 2nd 2009, starting in Darwin. Finishing in Sydney on the 25th of Dec.

I was wondering if there was anyone else on this board thinking or doing the same tour?

It would be nice to chat to some people going before we get there

Maybe you could post your name, age ,sex and country, to get to know each other.

I'm not 100% sure about this date yet but i'm pretty convinced so far!

Hey Natalie!!!

I will most probably be going on my own!

Apparently the majority of people on this tour will be going on their own too so you won't be the only one!!

I will be 19 on the trip and im from oxford!

Hi Natalie

I'll go on my own. It's up to you if you travel solo or with friends. But it's not necessary there'll be a group of interesting people which want to travel through Australia.

Thanks for getting back to me!
Yeah i would be going on my own, travelling doesnt intrest any of my mates so it will be really great to meet people that love it!

I am a bit worried though that not many people will go at this time as its like christmas and summer so not really the ideal time?

It probably is pretty popular, it will be summer in Aus, Flights will be cheaper at the end of November, begining of December, then other parts of the Year. One of the reasons im doing it at this time is to be in Sydney for New Year and the Weather!!

Plus im pretty sure the tours are usually fully booked, i doubt their will be less than 20 people on the tour!

good luck deciding!!

In my opinion, people are totaly different. You might think there won't be many people. Why? Because they aren't writing onto this bord? I thaught the same regarding my last tour. But there were enought and the tour was booked out. And there is only one coach driving the tour. So self-assurance might not be the reality all the time.

Andy,

I was wondering what date you think it would be sensible to arrive at the hotel before the tour starts. I was thinking of getting there about 2 days before to recover from jet lag, did anyone on your previous tours do that?

Thanks,

Katie

Hi Katie

It's up to you, but it's not necessary. 1 night would probably be necessary, 2 would be comfortable. But you'll might also have the possibility to sleep in the coach or stay at the hostel at night when groups are going out.

Regards

Andy

I'll be in spending an extra week in Sydney, until Jan 2nd. I booked a hotel room. I can't wait to see Sydney for New Years! Will you be doing the Contiki New Year package or doing it on your own? I'm doing it on my own...not sure of plans yet but I figured many others from the tour would be staying in Sydney as well. 4 months to go!

Hi,

My name is Rubens and I'm from Brazil. I'm really considering going on this tour. However, I still wonder if I should go on this reverse tour?

Why did you choose the reverse one? At first, I though of going on the regular tour, since it ends before Christmas eve.

That's my only doubt.. What do you think about it?

Regards!

Rubens
