Is anyone doing the Sydney to Darwin Aussie Explorer with sailing leaving Syndey 5th October? Would be good to get to know some people before the off!!

Hi Frances, My friend and I are from Canada and we're doing the Contrast Reef & Rock that leaves Sydney on October 5th, so I think we would be on the same tour for the first couple weeks??? Not sure! Anyways looking sooooo forward to it. It's been a long time coming!

I'm starting the reefs and rainforests tour from Sydney on the 5th as well...Im traveling alone so at least i know there are a few ppl out there on the same trip...I'm soo looking forward to the vacation!!!

Not sure what the age range will be, but my friend and I are both 27. I can't believe it's so close!!!

Ya i was a little nervous at first about traveling alone im starting to feel better about it....im 26 so im hoping our age range isnt too wide...i definitely need this break from work!!

Im starting in Sydney on the 5th as well but im on the reefs and rainforest trip. When i booked i asked my agent which tours meet up and she mentioned that the aussie explorer, reefs and rainforests and reef and rock tours all start off on the same day in sydney..so it looks like ill be on the same tour as you till cairns which is where i think the tours finally split...so it looks like we have found a few people here on the same tour!! Its coming up super fast!!!!

Im actually heading into Sydney right before the trip starts....i land on the 4th and im staying with my best friend over night...after the trip ends im staying in sydney for at least another 2-3 weeks to hang out with her!!! Im actually a little relived that ive found other ppl that are going on this trip...i was starting to get worried that i was going to be the only one that was going solo!! Are you doing the sailing option as well???

This all sounds great. I'm 30 so all roughly same age. I really hope we do all start off together. I arrive on 1st October, staying with a friend for a few days before tour and then back to Sydney at the end to find a job as I'm out there for a year!

After i get to darwin im stayin for 4 days then doin another tour down 2 perth, stayin wiv sum friends in perth for 3 days then headin off home. i was worried about the same thing its nice 2 no there a few ppl goin 2 b there

Ya im hoping we are all together for most of the trip...I know for sure i am departing from the sydney travel lodge at 7:30am with my first stop in port stephens (shoal bay)..what about everyone else???
