Is anyone planning to do this tour leaving Sept 14? I'm from Melbourne Australia, 25 and I have never left the country so I am very excited!
I am travelling solo so a little nervous about that!

Great! I have actually got a friend coming with me now! Were Pumped! How was it last year!? Any advice for a first time traveller!?

It was the best time i have eva had, meet some awsume ppl and have great memorys that will last a life time.
All i can say is take each day as it comes and enjoy every minute of the tour, just remember its a Contiki Tour and not a Vacation. Its pretty full on for the 1st half but worth every minute.

Purely on shopping, food and drinks and that kind of thing?

Hi im Corrine, im a 20 year old from Sydney who just booked this tour. Im so excited!! im going solo and really nervous about it. It would be great to make a friend before i go. Im also doing the 4 days in athens right before this one.

Well the hotels are not to bad, just remember that the European 4 star is alot different to the Aussie 4 star. You have a shower ect in your own room except of the 2 nights up in the swiz alps but still its not to bad. lol
As for a budget, id say allow your self between 100 and 150 euro per day, thats roughly what i did last year.

Nice to see some people registering for the tour. It should be fantastic. Unfortunately, I didn't go with Clint last year but am planning to make amends for it this year. I have been to the UK before, but have only been in London and Scotland - both absolutely fantastic. I'm looking forward to seeing more people register so we can all get to know each other a bit before we go. Hav you girls organised flights etc yet. Clint and I will be looking to leave Melbourne just after midnight on 13th Sept.

Hi Kyle! Yeah i have booked everything. I will actually be flying out of Sydney on the 4th Sep because im doing the 4 day spotlight in Greece tour before i fly to England on the 11th ( that is if i dont get lost in Greece hehe). Im going to do the two day London your before hand since im in England so early!

Its all very exciting and only 6 months away!
Thanks clint for the advice about the hotels. I must admit I do enjoy a five star hotel but as long as we have our own facilities and a warm bed I'll be fine!
We have booked our flights we leave melbourne in the early hours of the 12th and were staying at the Royal national before the tour.
I think we only habe one night in london after the tour then off to Dubai for few days before flying home.

I'm most concerned at this point about making it through the long flight to london! lol

Also Clint, How many poeple were on your tour last year?

Im also staying the night the tour finishes then im getting the train to visit my family thats in stoke. Me on a train with my big bag should be interesting.


Dont worry about surviving the flight over. I did it two years ago to visit some family in England and honestly you are just so pumped to be on a plane and going overseas the time flies. Its the flight home that really really drags. Hears a tip. Dont watch the on screen progress of your plane ( at one point i swear the plane went backwards!!!) it just makes it worse
