Hi my best friend and i are going on the city 2 surf tour in DEC can anyone please tell us how much partying actually goes on we dont have any clues on what its going to be like. Also if anyone is going on this drop us a line love to say hi

Howaya Sarah & Nikki, well that is one tour i have yet to do but seeing as i have done 7 Contiki tours (2 in OZ and 1 in NZ) if these are anything to go by then you will be partying just about EVERY night. When i did the 24 day Aussie Explorer in 2004, in the 10 days of the Northern Territories, i had 11 hours sleep in those 10 days, we were up til 4am every night drinking and having a laugh (had a 4am swim too in Kakadu, pool closed at 10pm though) and on the east coast at least i got a little more sleep, in the major towns we were out until 2 or 3am on most nights.

And you need not worry about ages or nationalities as the Contiki is for 18 to 35 year olds (sometimes older people go but only the odd few) so there will be normally more younger than older guys and gals on these tours. on the Aussie Ex' we had 22 people at the start from Darwin and that went up to 48 people from Cairns to Sydney.

I am counting the days til i go back to Australia, enjoy your holiday cos OZ is a brilliant, warm and great place to tour, 99 percent of the people you meet will be very nice and you will make a load of friends. Since i started doing my tours in 2004 i still keep in touch with over a hundred people from all over the world.....it's hell at Xmas though.

i did this tour a few weeks ago...know that this is really short & it will have u craving for more! it starts out in sydney w/a pic by the opera house & bridge (but u dont get to see the inside of the opera house, u will have to do it urself if u want to). partying in coffs harbor, and 2 nites in surfers (like the miami in Oz)...u'll have a blast but like i said b4 ur gonna want more
