Hi,

Im thinking of doing the Aussie Explorer leaving on 29th November 2009.

Just wondering if anyone else is going to be doing this tour and also if anyone has been on this trip at this time of year and if they would recomend doing it and what extras they suggest doing?

Try the Meeting place for this trip to find out who's on tour with you.

as for Nov I went in Nov 05 and the weather was perfect. Not to hot (about 80 deg F) and only 1 rainy day. As for your hair forget it the humidity was usually to high for you to do anything w/ it. I didn't go w/ contiki went with my family for 28 days.

Hi im Matt,
Im trhinking of doing the Aussie explorer at the end of 2009 or start of 2010. I was just wondering what kind of people go? I love to socialise as was just wonderig when on the tour is there plenty of time to hit the clubs? Could someome tell me when the gay scene is like in Oz? I am so desperate to get out of this country but need the time to save... and Oz is my chosen destination...
cheers all,

Matt

Hi,

I'm going alone and I'm really considering this tour. I'm just looking for some more information about the group, about the ones who have already bookek.

But probably I'm gonna book soon.

Best Regards,

Rubens

I only carried enough cash to last a couple days. Had it on me at all times, along with ID/Passport/Bank Cards. The tour manager would point out in every town where an ATM was if needed, and especially in the outback would mention where the last ATM stop would be as they aren't so common out there.

On days we had more than 1 night, I would only carry enough cash to get me through the day, and leave the rest locked up in my suitcase in the hotel.

2 people did have a slr camera. its up to you if you want to bring it.

no need for that extra weight- all rooms have linen and pillows, and when you camp out in Kings Creek they supply you with the swag.
