I am thinking of doing this new years tour and wanted to come on and meet some of the ppl before, i am 25 from canada and this is my first time out on my own, i will be in sydney 2 days before x mas. I've just booked on the NYE tour today. Didn't think there'd be any places left but got lucky.

I'll be arriving on the 29th and am already looking forward to my first beer in oz.

Must admit I wasn't too sure about this travelling alone lark but reckon everyone is in the same boat, so should be a good laugh.

When do you travel out?

You got anything planned for after new year. I've got booked on the contiki reefs and rainforest tour from Sydney to Cairns, some mates told me it's really good so for i'd give it a try.

So you'll be in Oz for Xmas as well, I'd toyed with doing that but couldn't bring myself to miss the xmas festivities.

Where abouts are you going to be on Xmas day, you going to go down to bondi and fire up a barbi?

New Zealand sounds really good actually, quite a few sporty things I fancy doing over there but will have to leave that for another year.

A mate of mine is going out to NZ in Feb so you'll have to let me know what it's like.

I've never travelled alone, but had exactly the same problem, when a couple of people let you down, you just think sod it I'm going to go alone. Reckon it'll be fine though, everyone seems to be saying the same stuff.

We'll have a good laugh I reckon.

I'm hearing some crazy things about these contiki tours! I'm stuck in the UK till the Dececember as I dont arrive in Sydney till the 28th - till then the days can't go quick enough for me.

Hello Everybody, I’m Leandro from Brazil.

I will be in Sydney for New Year like some of you guys, and I’ll probably be alone (a friend of mine gave up joining me in this trip). Australia will be my 1st destination in a trip which also includes Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Seoul, but in Australia, as I said, I’ll be alone.

Unfortunately I won’t be able to take a Contiki tour once I arrive on the 27th (Dec) and I leave on 1st January to Melbourne (where I stay 5 days until going back to Sydney for other 3 days and Singapore then).

I read some of you guys will be in Sydney for New Year too, and some, alone like me.

Let’s keep in touch to try to have some fun together, eh?
