That's cool that you're going on this tour as well. I was told it's a preferred departure date so it shouldn't be canceled. I just booked my flights today and I'll be flying out of Ottawa, not Toronto. I'm from near Kingston...how about you?

Funny enough...i live in Ottawa...although this is a Preferred Departure...it is not guarenteed as of yet...tour companies do not offer Guarenteed departure anymore...last year many tour company's (not Contiki) had to cancel guarenteed departures due to a lack of consumer interest...now they have introduced Preferred departures to entice consumers to book these departures so they are more likely to become guarenteed...make sure you purchase travel insurance for your flights so if by chance this departure is cancelled...the insurance usually obsorbes the change fees due to tour cancellations...What airline are you flying? Air Canada direct???? I was looking at Air France...they had a really good price! Let me know!

Thanks Marc for the heads up. I did notice that it wasn't guaranteed, but I thought it'd be safe with it being preferred. My TA did mention there's a lot of interest in this date, and I noticed many of the trips ahead of this date are already guaranteed or full - so fingers crossed that this one is okay too!

That's cool that you're in Ottawa, my mom lives there so I visit there lots. I actually got my flights through Contiki (it was 30 dollars more) so I took it to be guaranteed. I fly direct with Air Canada - they're great flight times too, so I'm happy about that. I also opted to stay an extra day in Paris, and fly home the 21st of July.

Yes...the trip is booked...waiting for it to be guarenteed to book my airfare...i was going to go to fly round trip LON...but decided that i was going to fly in to LON out of PAR...no point in travelling 8 hours from PAR to LON...sending another $80.00 for a night in london and leaving out the next day...

That's a good idea...the Contiki buses are not that comfortable either. I'm flying out of Paris as well.

ya i would imagine there not all that comfortable...but they can't be worse than Greyhound...kinda nervous to be shacking up with some random stranger...but..whatever...lol
