hey chris, yeah looking at booking this tour shortly. i'm tossing up whether to go earlier (in jul or aug), or wait for this one. adv is that it goes through munich when oktoberfest is on, which would be awesome. also i want to catch a premier league game while i'm over. where is Aust r u from? i'm in syd. mark, i had the exact same reasons as yourself. oktoberfest was a big drawcard and i will be going to watch an epl game with a mate of mine in portugal. staying there for 2 weeks before the tour starts. also to make sure that i dont miss any of our games. aly, im pretty sure that there are at least another 2 people coming, canadians, but group is slowly growing and not many people are as organised as us, or ever know about the forum.
i have to go home straight after. i will be staying one night at the end of the tour in case we get back late. but im going back to work the next day so cant squeeze any more time out of them. 2 weeks beforehand tho. what are your plans atm?
we will be in London a couple of days beforehand and then we have 2 weeks to do the greek islands and turkey by ourselves and then road tripping uk for 2weeks. im really looking forward to it. i've wanted to do contiki for the last 8yrs but just never got around to it.
whoa. sounds like an awesome trip. i wouldnt mind doing a little bit more travelling but i was pressing my boss just to get 6 weeks. last 8 years? whats taken you so long to organise yourself? ive been about 2 years but that was planning on going with a mate of mine but circumstances changed so postponed a bit longer, until i decided its now or never. 8 years? almost too old to go jk
yeah 8yrs. - well almost. Im 25 (soon to be 26) and have been wanting to do it since I was 18 but just kept putting it off.oh i haven't asked for time off yet but if I cant get it i'll resign.
easy enough to keep putting off. hard to organise finance and the 4+ weeks off. must be loving your job if you're willing to give it up that easily. either that or you can pick up a job anywhere.
