Here is the official thread for travelers going on the Aug. 30 Contrasts tour.

I am booked for Aug. 28th but will most likely move it to the 30th very soon because of Oktoberfest and a few other reasons (laraj182) Wink

Whoever else is coming on this trip, drop a line in this thread and let us know who you are!

Hey lara, in response to u from another thread, I'm going to be in London from the 28th Aug, then after, until the 2nd Oct,I think off the top of my head! Do u no where ur going to stay at? I havn't really looked too much at that yet, but the Royal Hotel thingy is a bit pricey, I reckon i can get something cheaper.

Hello again Smiler Wow, I'm confused about the dates, but I am pretty sure we are on the same trip. Let's hope so! I am not staying in london before or after the trip... my plans are for the exact tour dates. I have a feeling I am going to be broke come the end of the tour Smiler But, who cares... it's vacation! I am just excited that I am going. I actually just found out that I can actually go a lot earlier but I decided to stay with this one. Have you thought of anything you want to do that is not on the itinerary... for the days we have free time for ourselves? I thought of one thing that I really want to do. I really want to go see Jim Morrison's grave site. It is in Paris. I am a big Doors fan and can't wait to see that. Talk to you soon!

Hey rokkit! so it sounds like u sorted out ur dates and u r coming on the same one hey, but just from USA! yeh, actually I want to try and see the Mathuesen concentration camp in Austria, but its in a town a bit out of Vienna, not sure how hard it'll be to get there, but I'll look into it soon. But havn't really thought of any thing else, am planning to get a few lonely planet books to have a look at wat might be interesting!
How bout u lara? Also, I'll be 21 for the trip.

Hi Alexis Cool
Yes, I got everything sorted out so all I have to do is finish paying off my trip and I will be good to go! That would be very cool to visit a concentration camp like you mentioned. I am down for pretty much anything. The sky is the limit when I am on vacation, especially for a month! I just want to make sure I get to Pere La Chaise Cemetery in Paris to see Morrison's gravesite. Dang, only 21? You girls are making me feel old Wink
Talk to you soon...

Hey dan249. Greetings from the USA! Great meeting another mate on this tour! It's going to be one helluva trip I can tell you that much. So, how old are you? Traveling solo? Got any special destinations you want to see while you are there?

Hi Lara! Great hearing from you again. So, you are planning on moving somewhere in Europe after the trip? That is awesome. I wish I had an opportunity like that! Lucky! Oh man, Ireland has always been atop my list of destinations... After all, it would be nice to see where many of my ancestors came from Smiler

I think we have a definite departure now, but don't hold me to it. I don't know for sure yet but I think we will be ok regardless. Talk to 'yall soon!

Hi rokkit3, thanks for the gretting. I'm travelling solo, I've heard its the best way to go on Contiki. How old am I?, lets just say that I agree with your comment "Dang, only 21? You girls are making me feel old"!!
I haven't had time to plan any special destinations yet, it's just awesome to know I've got my spot on the tour. I'm going to spend a few days in London before the tour starts to check the place out.
Does anybody know how many people are booked in for this tour yet?
