My name is Leigh, I am 23 from Tassie and am going on the contrasts tour for the 29th of May. Looks like a fair few australians are heading off this year. This is the first time i have travelled overseas so am looking forward to it. I am planning on travelling for a few weeks after the tour so if anyone else is keen to go to Scotland or Spain then a travel buddy is always good.

      Are you travelling solo? You will have the time of your life especially if this is your first time overseas. When are you arriving in London? Will you be staying at the Royal National hotel? Do you know of anyone else on this tour? Have you booked everything... I have except I still need to pay it all off... struggling! Nah I'll get there!

Hey Mel,

Yeah i am travelling solo and absolutely can not wait. Shoould be a bucket load of fun and a few of my mates have gone on them and reckon they worth the money. I can't believe your still paying yours off!!! Are you going to have any spending money? I have paid for everything and am just saving spending money at the moment which is good. Is this your first time overseas? I arrive in london on the 28th of May at 5.30am in the morning and then yeah i have one night at the Royal National on the 28th before our tour on the 29th. I don't know anyone else on this tour but i hope there are lots of people from all over the place that just want to have fun. I have two and a half weeks after the tour to look at a couple of places we don't see on the tour which will be good.

I am now all booked for the 29th may!!! I arrive in london early
morning on the 28th and staying at the royal national. I think it would
be a good idea if we choose a time and meeting place and all meet up
for a drink the night before, at least we wont be as nervous starting
the tour in the moning and not knowing anyone. so exciting!! anyway let
me know what you all think of meeting up. talk to you all soon...

As for a time and a meeting place i will leave that one to you but i wouldnt think it would be too hard to catch up. I guess closer to the date we should organise something???? Talk soon

Im also staying at the Royal National on the 28th... I dont want to be rude I don't know if it is rude to ask and sorry if it is but are you a boy or girl? Because Leigh is like a uni sex name sorry I was just wondering. But yes lets all have a drink on the 28th maybe after our meeting on the 28th at 7pm we'll meet some new people... Sorry for not saying earlier, but i am a 23 y.o. guy. I do know some girls with the same name so that's cool that you asked. So there is a meeting is there? i havnt received any information regarding the tour yet and was told that i will get information about the trip about three weeks before i go. It looks like most people are going solo which is a little scary for everyone but i am sure we will have a great time. I wonder how many people from Aus will be on our tour? A good mix of people is all i really want. Talk to you soon.

Hi all, im on the 29th May tour too and it will be my 1st time overseas.  Im travelling with 4 mates (Will, Adam, Phil and Naz) who are all from brisbane australia. We are all 22 years old.  I will let them know about this message board so you might see them on here soon.

We are all flying into london at 6am on the 25th and staying at the Generator Hostel til departure

Hi all im Adam one of Dans mates. A few drinks the night before sounds good. We chose to stay at the Generator as it was close to the departure for the tour and as we are arriving on the 25th is a lot cheaper at $40 australian a night. and also there is a bar ther with 1 pound happy hours.
Me and my mate will plan to backpack around europue for about 5months after the tour. so if anyone else is travelling afterwards would like to hear about it.
