Luckily I have. I have been saving for a while as I got to quit my job to be able to go. But I still got to save up some spending money....How about you? How long is your flight from Sydney to London? Do you fly east or west to get to London? Looking at the globe the distance looks about the same in either direction.

Hi guys,
I booked this tour a couple of months ago, but I'm just getting into this whole forum thing. I'm 26, from Newcastle and traveling by myself. I will be in Spain before our tour starts for the Running of the Bulls so will be flying in on the 15th.
Is anyone staying in London after the tour or heading straight home?

Running of the bulls that sounds great! I wish I could make that one. Are you going to run? I have a friend at work that ran 1 year.

I am heading to the Greek islands after the tour but am going to London two days before the tour.

So excited our trip is around the corner! I hope you are all having a good day!

Yeah I'm so excited. Would love to run, but I think I'd be way to chicken when it came down to it.

I'm staying in London for a few days after our tour, then I think I'll go to Scotland to visit a friend for a week or so, then I'm heading back to Spain for the La Tomatina festival then to Ibiza for some clubbing then back to London then home.

Not long to go now, hope the next few months go fast.

Hello,

I got a few nights booked before the tour at the Royal National Palace. As far as the night before the tour that night was included in the package according to my invoice and the brochure I was sent. I think we meet up as a group the night of the 15th in London at the Royal National Hotel and then have an early departure the 16th. Maybe packages or different or maybe I am confused but it is worth looking into becuase you don't want to double book yourself. There may also be differences in packages amongst different sales offices and different countries. I know the food fund situation varies by what country you book your trip through.

Has anyone thought about getting tickets to Moulin Rouge? Our tour has the option for a different play in Paris but I read in another discussion strings that sometimes people buy their own Moulin Rouge tickets ahead of time instead of going to the Cabaret Contiki offers since Moulon Rouge is a Paris icon. I will look into tickets if others are interested. Let me know....SmilerHeather

Hey Heather,

I was just getting on to see if anyone else was interested in going to see the Moulin Rouge rather than the option, guess great minds think alike. I would love to go, I don't think a trip to Paris would be complete without seeing the Moulin Rouge and I may only get there once in my life time. From what I've read on the net tickets arn't that much more than the option if you just see the show and do you own thing for dinner, but I'm happy to pay whatever. Not sure how you go about group bookings though. Let me know if you would like me to look more into it from this end.

I'll be staying at the Royal National on the 15th, although don't think I'll be doing much sleeping that is the one night my best friend from high school and I are in London at the same time. May make for an interesting bus ride the next day, but I figure most of the trip will be like that and you only live once.

Anyway, not long to go now. I can't wait.

Hey Heather,

I would def be interested in seeing Moulin Rouge - it seems like such a better option, i wonder why they don't just include it in contiki instead? I think the contiki headquarters is at the Basement of Royal National - so perhaps it's something they can organise for us when we get there?
