I am thinking about going on the European Contrast tour. This will be my first trip with contiki and I am really nervous about going on my own. Is anybody else thinking about going on this trip, or for those who have gone on the tour have any advice?

sept 1? im going on the aug 30, not sure if thats any help. but im going on my own as well, apparently its a better way to go. maybe the t.a just said that to make me feel better

sorry i didn't see your post on here, i guess that answeres my question from the other conversation. How old are you, I'm 20 now but i will be 21 by the time the trip starts. I'm not exactly sure how much time we have in London before the trip, but we are coming home from Amsterdam after the trip, so we wont be staying any extra which is to bad.

yeh, i was the same. maybe just pay attention to this one from now on. saves any confusion. i kno i dont need to add to mine.
im 25. staying with a mate in portugal for about 2 weeks before the tour starts, chance to watch a premier league game. should be good. i dont get a chance to hang around after as i will be back at work the after i come back from the trip. are you not travelling back to london or just heading back to amsterdam for a bit more fun?

Well we booked the trip about a month ago, the girl i'm going with, her name is tyra, her mom is a travel agent and she found us some really cheap flights back from amsterdam so we booked them. That was before i started coming on the website so i didn't know you could go back to london i though the trip ended in Amsterdam and we were supposed to find a way home from there. But depending on how the trip goes maybe we will decide to stay a few more days in Amsterdam or go back to London. It wouldn't be hard to change flights because her mom could just do it for us and we would have to pay a little more. But as you said i will probably have to be getting home as well to go back to work. So your an aussi eh, thats awesome i've met a few people from Austraila and they were awesome, tones of fun!

sounds like a fair enough reason to book the flights. im not sure how the travel plan works out in regards to finishing up elsewhere. dont think there would be a problem. i have to stay in london for an extra night because theyre not sure what time we will be back, so cant guarentee i will make the flight home so ill stay a day after.
yeh us aussies are a rare breed, try to enjoy ourselves as much as possible.

haha. Ya i don't know, it should be interesting lol. I hope i get along with everyone. I usually don't have a problem getting along with people. Are you looking forward to the trip?

yeh should be awesome. now that its booked, im finding it harder to focus on work. more than likely only going to get harder as the date gets closer. should be able to get along with everyone, if not you can make sure theres space between you and them. dont think it would be a problem tho. 4 aussies going so far, all relaxed people. they better be now;-)

Do you know the people who are going from austrailia already? ya i'm a pretty relaxed person to, like to have a good time definatly haha. My Friend who is coming with me is to so it should be lots of fun!

yeh i read up on someone elses trip and it sounds pretty awesome, pictures have just been adding to it. havent met the people from australia before, apparently theyre from sydney as well. im sure it will be a great time on the trip. how long have you guys been planning this for? why the end of august? making oktoberfest?
