Im thinking of booking this one in September too, am just a little worried / anxious / excited to be going it solo for the first time, plus Im 27 and know that Id feel like the old hag if everyone else on the tour was a budding 18 year old!ha; I travel alone all the time for work, but have never been on "vacation" alone before, are you travelling alone or in a group? hey guys. curleee, dont be saying you'll feel like the old hag at 27! im 26 and am not feelin too old to keep up with anyone lol! im travelling alone.. done a bit of it before but any tours like this ive done with friends but not really worried cause everyone is always so nice and you become great friends so quick and travelling solo is not odd, i reckon easily half the people travelling are doing it solo so new friends are welcomed with open arms! i have travelled with contiki before.. did a 6 week tour back in 2004 and loved it, so this time round im booked into a couple of shorter tours by myself. from that tour i rememeber we had all age groups, not all 18 year olds, anyone up to the 35 year old mark hey! so anywya, dont worry about doubts.. its all an adventure!!!!

Hey all! Those of you worrying about being too old forget about it! I did contiki in July and we had a 30 and 32 year olds from Texas, best dudes ever! They were always my roomies and they partied just as hard as the youth haha. Im 20 from Aus, Scott Booth if you have facebook. Alone or with friends contiki is amazing! You'll never forget it. Hello All! Sounds like there are going to be quite a few of us twenty-something solos on this trip. I am 26 and from NYC. This will be my first time off the continent. I was curious about what everyone is doing for money and cell phones. I was thinking about getting travelers cheques, but it seems they are pretty outdated and many people rely exclusively on ATMs and credit cards. Anyone have any suggestions regarding which option is best? I have noticed that there are a ton of different cell phone rental companies. Does anyone have any experiences, good or bad, with any of the major companies?
