Is anybody considering going to Berlin and Prague in June 2008? I am very likely to sign up around Christmas for the trip. Has anybody been on the trip before? What did you like or dislike about it?

BTW I am 24 male from Florida travelling solo. I see that more than a few people on here travel solo, and I'm ready to meet new people!

I did this tour and it was Tonnes of fun!!! It was my first contiki and something i noticed was it was not very structured, just the way the tour is set up. You do not travel very far on the bus and there is a lot of free time for you to fill. I traveled with one of my friends so it was easy for us to fill the days by touring around the cities... and those traveling on their own did not seem to have any troubles, just depends how independant you are.

I would definatley suggest you continue the tour to Budepest and Vienna... i was so sad to leave the tour when others were continueing on! Have fun!

I'm thinking about doing the Berlin/Prague/Vienna trip in June 2008. Maybe the June 7 - June 15 tour.
I'll probably be going solo, and might stay a few days extra in Berlin before the tour starts and also a night or two extra in Vienna once it finishes.

Steph_1984, is Budapest worth seeing? I'm thinking about going to see Italy and then Spain and France afterwards.. And Vienna is closer to Italy so I think I might just end the tour there. Unless it's easy to get a flight/train to Italy from Budapest??

And what's the weather like during June? Will I need to take a coat in my luggage?

Budapest is beautiful. I highly recommend going there if you have a chance.

Myself and 3 friends of mine are thinking of booking the Berlin/Prague/vienna tour for late June. 2 of us will be graduating with a music degree and thought it would be a great opportunity to visit the motherland of the famous composers and musicians of the past!
I'm actually glad to read that there is a bit of free time given on the tour - this way I can check out a few musical performances and festivals while I'm there!
