No biggie - I'm 32. My friend will be 33. Hope all the kiddos ar back in school by late October! I can't really say on budgeting, depending on what type of spender you are.

I'll actually be joining this tour in Vienna. I've already been to Berlin and Prague. This is my 3rd contiki trip. Wavoes: dont worry about going alone to Europe for the 1st time, I did a few years ago on a contiki trip in 2003, was a lot of fun. I highly recommend taking your atm/debit card, easiest way to get cash when traveling, and least fees.

Hi All! I'm Kimber-Leigh (from California).
Grahame, I think this is the easiest way to travel alone through Europe. On my last trip, I found that you have instantly 30+ new friends.
-no worries Smiler

Like Maria, I think it depends on your spending habits. Someone told me on my last trip to try to not convert things to American dollars because it will drive you crazy. It didn't work for me - I couldn't help but calculate.

If anyone is interested, my new favorite site is:

I probably should've done more calculating. I started seeing Euros as US dollars, which was a nasty shock when I got home and did all my calculations. haha

Welcome - everyone should post pics and real names if you can so we'll recognize each other that first night - was funny seeing people in London last year that we'd been chatting with online.

I have to buy my airfare tonight!
