Hi! Will anyone else be arriving in Berlin early or staying longer in Budapest after the tour is finished? I'm travelling on my lonesome so some company before and after would be great!
Did you know it can get down to -23 degrees in Hungary in winter?? We're all going to freeze! :S

Omigosh, there are other people interested in this tour? I'm so excited!!! Do you think it will be guaranteed? I haven't booked because I'm scared it's going to be canceled.

BTW, how old are you guys? I'm 29 and I really don't want to be the granny on the tour. I did Contiki 6 years ago and loved it but now I'm worried I'm too old!

I booked the tour today. It looks like I'm going to arrive in Berlin on the 18th around noon or so. If you guys would like to meet up and see some things that would be a good time. I'm leaving winter to go to colder winter so hopefully it won't be that bad. How early are you guys planning on getting to Berlin?

Mike did you mean you're arriving on the 8th, not the 18th? Just a bit confused... I'm arriving on the afternoon of Thursday the 6th of December, flying straight from Australia to Frankfurt to Berlin.
Should we start being proactive about trying to meet up early in Berlin? I've booked the 2 nights before the tour to stay at Meininger City Hostel, if that's any help, or if anyone else wants to book there too! I think it would be great to hang out and see some sights together before the tour, and also to speak to others in English :P
Does anyone live in Canberra by any chance? Cecilia?

I'll be staying with friends in England and am looking for cheap flights to get to Berlin, to get there hopefully round midday. If anyone else will be flying into Berlin on the day, maybe we could meet at the airport or something to share a cab or work out public transport? Mike?

Alison I am on British Airways # 982 from Heathrow to Berlin on 12/8. It is non-stop and leaves London at 9:50am and is scheduled to arrive in Berlin at 11:35am. There are still seats available on it, it costs about US$150. Working out trasnport should be a lot easier with another person. Let me know when you get your flights settled and we'll figure something out.

Just booked-in for this trip. May get to Berlin a little early, not sure yet, but I will definitely be staying on for an extra night in Budapest at the end.

Anybody thinking of doing the Mozart/Strauss concert & dinner in Vienna (don't want to be the only geek that turns up!)

i was planning to go in November, but with weather being crappy and the fact that i couldn't find anyone else, i think i'll do this one.
I also plan to arrive a couple of days earlier to Berlin... in that respect, Meininger City Hostel looks very nice, but there are three locations. Emma, which one is yours?
