Hi All! Anyone going to the Berlin/Prague/Vienna tour from October 17-26? Its my first time touring with Contiki and I'm going by myself. Looking to meet my tourmates before the trip!
Hi kate, As I have said in other threads - My wife and I live in London and if anyone else wants to meet us from our trip and are going to be in Berlin on the 17th in the avo I think or if anyone wants to meetup in London before the date then thats fine too! Ciao
hey! so great to hear from other tourmates I am traveling from New York. Where is everyone else traveling from? What is the general consensus with contiki tours? Can't wait!
Im a New Zealander, living in London (for last year) and should arrive lunchtime on the 18th at the hotel. If anyone wants to go for a coffee with my wife and I or take a walk around Berlin get back to me and I will give you my mobile number.. esp if your travelling alone and want some 'experienced' travellers (old buggers) to hangout with for the afternoon.
I have only heard great things about contiki, they are HEAPS of fun and you take away a busload (lierally) of friends at the end.
Can't wait, just a couple more days before this trip starts. So what currency are most of you getting before the trip starts? I guess I'll divide mine into 3. Euro, CZK, and HUF. Might be hard to convert money each time, hope you can just use credit cards or ATM's to get money. So where are most of you from? I'm coming from San Francisco, gonna be a long trip for me. Flying to Paris and then Berlin. Soo long. I'm willing to meet up with anyone willing as well.
Im taking a mix myself - I wouldnt worry too much its easy to exchange money and credit cards will be fine. We have traveled a lot in western europe already. The only time we ever had problems was our first trip where we were mugged in Rome, you cant be careful enough if you are going to be carrying a lot of money. The pickpockets over in Europe are exceptionally good (for want of a better word).

What time are most of you getting in on the 18th? I should be there in the afternoon, hope I won't be all tired from the long trip. Don't we have a meeting later that evening?
This trip is going to be sooooo fun, I just hope its not too cold yet. Anyone check the weather yet? Trying to see what to pack and what everyone else is packing.
