I am also thinking of booking this Dec 26, probably traveling solo. I am worried that it may be too cold for me though!

My friend and I are thinking about taking this trip but we wanted to see how many people would sign up for it. Nothing like spending New Years in Europe huh? Smiler

I'm thinking of doing the Berlin-Budapest trip - I think it's the same route but just continues on to Budapest while the Berlin-Prague-Vienna tour ends in Vienna. Looks like we'd spend New Years in Prague!

Cool! Where are you from/how old are you? Have you travelled with Contiki before? This will be my 3rd trip with them if I end up going!

I'm from Chicago and I'm 31 (almost 32). I did European Vista back in 2001 and Madrid/Barcelona/Ibiza in 2003.

Which other trip did you do?

Are you definite about doing this on leaving on Dec 26th? I'm about 50/50 right now.

I'm also from the states(FL) and I'm 25. Now that I see more people are interested in the trip, its moving towards the top of my list, despite the cold! I have gone on the Turkish Delight trip and Egypt and the Nile and had a blast.

I'm almost positive that I'm going on this trip. I even told a buddy of mine to book it now so we won't back out of it.

My wife and I are from NYC, we are also working on getting some of our friends to go with us. This will be our second trip with Contiki, we went on the London-Paris-Amsterdam tour in Spring of 2006.

I'm excited it sounds like quite a few people may be going! Is anyone thinking of staying on a few days at the end of the trip in Budapest? I'm thinking I might do an extra day or 2 in Budapest and then go on to Croatia or somewhere else in the region for a couple days.

kinda reconsidering now. it looks like our only free day in Prague will be New Years Day so i'm guessing most everything will be closed. and i'd really like to find out if the tour manager helps book something to do or someplace to go out on New Years Eve. everything i'm reading makes it sound like you need to book at a club or restaurant quite in advance.

so i'm thinking i may go in November instead, the week ebfore Thanksgiving...but i'll probably change my mind 6 more times Smiler

minniegirl, I did read New Years eve can be wild and fun in Prague. Not sure which museums are opened or closed on New Years day though.

I'm kind of 50/50 about doing this at this time or in early Jan. I'll be traveling solo, will anybody else as well?
