So I was all set to book the Eastern Road tour when I saw this new one announced.  Now I'm debating between this tour and that one.  This tour sounds tempting - more free time in each place, a stop in Bratislava. 

I'm thinking about heading out on it in May and then continuing on to Poland independently. Of course, I can't quite figure out why this tour is more expensive than the Eastern Road tour.  But I'm still thinking about it?

Anyone else have a similar idea or planning on heading out on this tour in May '06?

I was also looking at doing the Eastern Road and saw this tour.  I went on the Russia Scandi tour, so I am definitely interested in returning back to Berlin!  My plan is to do the Sept 06 tour.  Would love to exchange thoughts and ideas about it!

I'm looking into going September 2006 as well (the September 15th departure).  I was hoping to go on the Eastern Road last year but it didn't work out for me.  I like the set up of this tour as well because it's the main cities I wanted to see.  I'm still getting acquainted with it... good to see there is more interest from others out there!

I have booked Berlin to Budapest for Sept 15th , 06'.  I too was considering The Eastern Road but found it to be too short of a visit to Prague and Budapest.  This trip sounded like it was created just for me.  If you decide to book this one let me know.  Have you been on a Contiki trip before?  This will be my 1st.  Anyone else going on this particular trip?

Which two tours are you speaking of??

I am about to book the Eastern Road trip... prob. May 27....which is the other one you're looking at?

The two trips are the "Eastern Road" and the "Berlin to Budapest".

For a while I wanted the Eastern Road but I'm 99.9% sure that I'm going to book for the "Berlin to Budapest" trip.  It's pretty much the Eastern Road trip without Poland and not as rushed in the first four cities.
