Hi everyone,

I can't believe that we are only two weeks away! Time flies! I have to confess that I am not ready for the trip. I practically haven't done anything.

I received my contiki (I don't remember what it's called, but they sent me a packet with tickets and information, kind of like a kit).I will not be staying at the main hotel, I'll be staying at the other one. I can't remember the name, but it's only a few blocks away.

I got a ticket for the underground, it seems I have to take the train from the airport to the station where my hotel is located. I'll be flying from Los Angeles on the 26th and arriving to London on the 27th @ 10 am. Since I don't want to waste any time, I would really like to go out and explore some parts of the city. I intend to sleep on my flight and just be ready to go around London. Are there any plans? Please, let me know if you don't mind. I was thinking we could meet somewhere and have dinner...something like that.

The more I think about the trip, the more excited I get. We're in for the time of our lives!

I am leaving on Friday and haven't even thought about what I am taking. I have been flat out the last couple of weeks training somebody to cover my job while I am overseas.

I am not staying at the main hotel either. I am staying with some mates in Islington - apparently it is north of London. I will be catching the train to there place as well.

I am staying a week or so in London before the tour. I would be happy to meet up and look around London.

I think there are two tours for the 28 July. Do you know if you are on the first or second? I think I am on the second bus.

It's cool that you're staying longer in London. I wish I could've done that. When I bought the tour, I didn't think of it, and it will cost me more to change it at this point. In fact, I was thinking of staying for 2-3 days in London after the tour but my time is very limited. I have to be back for some teaching conferences prior to the beginning of the school year (I'm a teacher).

I can't do it before the tour because I am currently working summer school, which actually ends on the 26th of July, but I already talked to the principal and let him that I won't be able to work on the last day.

However, I'll be in London on the 27th, and we can probably get together and explore the city. We are leaving to Armsterdam in the morning of the 28th. I wonder, why doesn't this tour include London? By the way, I don't know the bus number I will be on.


I'm sure all of us can arrange a meeting and do something on the night of the 27th.

By the way, where are you from?
