my travel agent told us that we dont really need to worry about it being cancelled a) because we bought proper insurance b) because it is beginning of high season and lots of people should be going

i dont know of anyone else going - just maybe a couple friends that i put it out there with.

Yes the departure seems to be guaranteed, but my travel agent says that they can still cancel if they feel like it .

Hey, I don't think ur travel agent is right, maybe she's just trying to stay on the safe side i guess, but according to the contiki brochure once it's guarenteed...that's it...hope that good news

But look around this forum. It has happened quite a few times that guaranteed departures were cancelled if too many ppl cancel or some other reason.

really now i'm scared too!!!

In Europe we have designated a large number of tours which we guarantee will operate on the scheduled date, unless circumstances occur beyond our control. Look for the Guaranteed Departure symbol () against individual departure dates on the itinerary of your choice.

dont worry about it too much...if it does get cancelled, they'll put you on another tour or another date and if u've got insurrance, it will be covered, so you don't have to pay the fees.

One way or another, vacations are just a few sleeps away!!!
