I am arriving in London on the 29th to.  This is also my first trip to Europe... well really my first trip overseas... and the first time I have even been in a plane... I am so excited... and counting down the days.
Planning ahead is good... gives your a chance to save money for the trip... especially spending money (alcohol... lol).

Myself and a mate are going to Ireland on the 28th of September and going around the place, through Scotland and England before we start this tour. Should be great fun. How we going? I've just booked my seat on what is rumoured to be the best time of ours lives. That's right, the October 30th Europen Inspirations. This will be my second Contiki tour (I did one of NZ last year). They are the only way to travel, although we did seem to drink way too much! It will be my first time in Europe, and unlike NZ, I'll be travelling alone.

I'm arriving in London on 12 October (I think) from my hometown of Adelaide and will have a look around, then it's time to party on the Contiki bus. My return flight from London is schedulled for the end of January 07 - so I should be over the Contiki hangover by then.

I haven't told work I'm leaving yet, that should be a fun experience!

Hey everybody!!  143 days!!!!
I was wondering how early everyone will be around in London on the 29th?... I was thinking of taking some sort of sightseeing tour of the city before we officially meet up with the group.  I've never been to London and would hate to be there and not see some of it!  Actually I was also a little confused as to when we are officially meeting the group and leaving for Amsterdam.... do we have to meet at 6pm on the 29th and depart on the 30th?... I've seen a few different versions of the itinerary.
Just wondering if anyone had a similar idea!

my names jess, n im from south australia. im so glad to see im not the only what think this tour is goin to be fablous, ours better not be cancelled, i booked it last week. it my first contiki tour, and my first time o/s, and im doin it on my own; but hey its all good. i leave home on the 27th and im arriving in london on the 28th at 5.30am (argh) but a wanted to spend at least one day doin the touristly thing in london, is anybody else doin the same?

P.S. As for the London thing I'm just planning on doing one of those jump on/off bus tours of the city with whatever time there is... it's really cheap and an easy way to see the most stuff in little time.  Hopefully a few of us can meet up at the hotel and go together!

Hey everyone! well the days are flying by now and before you know it we will be partying in europe! Its good to see that we are starting to get a few numbers up now as i would hate for this trip to be cancelled! Just thought id ask if anyone has considered staying on in london after the trip?
